  • Hi Everyone

Yeah Skint thank goodness its payday for me tomorrow .... had so much expense the last couple of months. Everything is so expensive even if you shop around for everything you can get cheaper. In some ways the price of alot of goods has come down in recent years, its the services that cost the money! If you have to pay someone to do something you pay through the nose.

Having said that I treated myself to a jumper and a hat at the weekend. Its ages since I bought anything new to wear and I do like my hats :)

Doing a long couple of days at work for the next two days as my flexi is really low and I need to build a bit up. I envy you WW that you like your job, Im not too keen on mine! Hence the investing hoping to build up enough over the next few years for a nice little pot. The way interest rates are going (they are saying minus rates could come in, thats frightening) people are looking at different ways of earning a bit of money from their savings. Any ideas anyone ? :)

:rotfl:I know what you mean, I struggled to get through my first day back yesterday.
So much for a good nights sleep too, I went to bed by 11pm last night and here I am awake at 2.30am  Gave up by 4am and made myself a cuppa, still at least I have worked out my budget for March and its looking ok at the moment despite having to pay for the glasses (£47.90 after nhs voucher, which I put on credit card :( but I aim to pay off in full when bill comes) Its a good job its a poll tax free month for me in march

    payday tomorrow :j

I was another with 2 hours sleep last night - the same as you Skint, went off to sleep ok and then awake at 2am until about 5.30 - I have to get up at 6!
Had a really hard day today - a very difficult child upsetting everyone including TAs - lots of uproar and tears from middle aged women - not me, but I had to deal with it all:mad: Oh well, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully one that I'll have had some sleep before!
  • 2 hours sleep!
I wouldnt even have been able to get out of the door ......
    I need my kip :)
  • Had a much better sleep last night and had physio on my neck and back today so am hoping things will settle down a bit. WW hope you had a better nights sleep too

Bad news is that I re-checked my budget today for march and I am skint :ohave about £83.20 for "entertainment" for march so doesnt look like I'll be painting the town red for the next 4 weeks either. Will have to come up with some ideas for cheap socializing

Looked for another part time job again today, but the one I was interested in (Coroners office admin) wants people flexible to cover full time as and when required :( Cant do that with my current job as well. Oh well, will keep looking....

Cheap socializing - I could do with some of that too. Need to kickstart my social life but its hard when you dont have much to spare.
Maybe we should all have a think of some things to do that dont cost alot of money ...........

I did sleep better last night thankfully.
After another long day topped off by an inset session  I tool the dog for a nice long walk with my gay best friend and his dog. Good to unwind after the day.

Hope the job hunting eventually turns something up for you Skint - its not any fun watching every penny all of the time. Will have a think about cheap socialising - I could do with a bit of that too.:)

I'm off on a walk with the Spice lot today - only about 4 miles so not a mammoth one but its a lovely sunny day here so it will be good to get out and about in the fresh air and stretch my legs.
I think I need to be a bit more sociable now that Spring is here - I've made an effort to go out for a walk with my gay best friend and his dog on Thursday and with a friend and her small son yesterday after work so I'm getting there I suppose.

After the walk I'll whizz round the supermarket and then make a nice healthy tea and maybe watch Skyfall tonight to round off a proper day off.

Hope everyone makes the most of the good spring weather - it doesn't usually last for long.:)
  • WW enjoy the walk and the sun .... No sun here :(

DS has just gone for a 2 hour driving lesson so I've whipped the sheets off his bed and they are in the machine. Very grey here but a bit breezy so hopefully they will dry

    Plans for today
    1. tidy up, washing machine on, dishwasher on
    2. out with friend we are going to local table top sale ... I am looking for cheap books and cheap storage containers.... and then round to hers for a cuppa and chat
    3. hoover
    4. ironing
    5. another friend coming round for evening. Have a bottle of rose wine £2.49 aldi bargain so should be a cheap night !

    Have a good weekend x

Had quite a nice day - a lovely long walk with some great people and the dog, bought a pair of cheap combat trousers in a size 10 and they're a teeny bit big, cleaned the house, done the shopping and got a good wodge of schoolwork out of the way.
Finally settled down to watch Skyfall - that Daniel Craig gets better with age doesn't he? Never saw the attraction before but I wouldn't mind "borrowing" him for 24 hours now.:rotfl::rotfl:
Quite enjoyed the film - not a mad Bond fan but this one was very good.

Just going to watch The Following repeat and then toddle off to bed.
