Skint - I'm sure you're just too glam for varifocals! What are the new frames like?

    :rotfl:I wish !!

Frames are these (if the link works) http://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/womens-glasses/morag/

my old ones are these http://www.specsavers.co.uk/glasses/fashion/patricia/ but are just too heavy and make my nose ache

... weird, s/savers use womens names for their frames - dont worry I wont be saying "where are my morags"

They are not very glam, but did seem to suit my face shape.

Your hair sound lovely WW, and well done on the bond.

Kitty, you sound like you've got your hands full. bet your glad half term is over ;)

  • Hallo everybody

Well, a new hairdoo does wonders doesnt it for making you feel a million dollars (says someone who has short hair and has had for years!) and new glasses for you Skint. Ive just got some too, I need them for reading and computer but luckily get them through work so dont have to pay. With all the expense I have had lately if I had had to cough up for those as well that would have finished me off!

Kitty your dog sounds lovely and all those cats too. Do they all get on together or do you have to referee?

Well Grippers I have done b*gger all today, had such a hard week this week Ive just put my feet up. Been a fag just to make my meals and take the dog out! If I carry on much more like this I will be welded to my sofa. Oh well it doesnt do any harm does it to have a day off once in a while. I will make up for it tomorrow, still got loads of stuff to sort for the car boot on 6 March.
Sold a book on Amazon too this morning for a good price, I had forgotten I had put it on so its good to sell it, one less to take to the car boot.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday all x

is your gorgeous dog a bichon frise ? Dont no if i spelt that correctly lol , i have a big ten year old dog called ozzy hes a bearded collie cross and i have 5 cats and 2kids which probably explains why i havent got any money haha well half term went well quick didnt it im back at my mda job monday

Yes he's a bichon - a bit of a scruffy one but lovely all the same.
I know what you mean about money and pets - I worked out the other day that my dog costs £50 a month to feed and insure and then there's routine vet bills (jabs and check ups) that you can't claim for and haircuts every 2 months or so at almost £30 a go. Wouldn't be without him though.

Good for you! A proper flop on the settee does you good every now and then!

Argo was very good - I thought it was a bit long but worth watching. I saw Flight yesterday too - really enjoyed that, Denzel was great as an alcoholic pilot!

Skint - loving the specs - think the fact that they're called Morag is brilliant!:rotfl:
  • Hi sanchoot49 yes my cats get along fine with the dog but the dog has been here the longest and so when i introduce a new cat there doesn't seem to be any problems the only time cats are hissy at the dog is when he comes home from groomers smelling all fancy and looking different with short hair it takes cats a while to recognise him but generally they all get on great

Just laughing at the jealous cats - all put out because they haven't had a makeover!:rotfl: Puts the catty back in cats!

Just about to take the dog to the park for a run around then its home to get some work done and then get ready for the week ahead. I don't feel like I've had much of a break with working on Mon/Tues and then visitors from Thurs- Sat. Oh well, its only 5 weeks to the 2 week Easter break, I'm sure I'll struggle through.;)
Might pop to Mr T's for some vits/supplements to see if anything helps the weird hormonal happenings (think I'm premenopausal) and to have a look to see if a dress and jacket for work I've had my eye on are on offer (saw an advert for 25% off F&F in the paper).

Might do a bit of batch cooking for the week if I get bored too.
Right, the dog is sitting by the front door so better get going.

Bought a suit for work this morning - a lightish grey knee length dress and jacket to match. Very nice for the money and a comfortable size 10 :). I'm still not used to being slimmer than I was I automatically take two sizes to try and am always pleased and a bit surprised when the smaller one fits.
I tried it on in the shop but will try it again with tights and shoes to make sure before I take the labels off it.

Done loads of schoolwork too - I could have done more this holiday but I just haven't had the time with working and visitors.
Had a quick clean and tidy of the house and have sorted clothes for the week and made a packed lunch so I'm pretty much ready to go back to work:(.
Also had a quick 6 mins on the sun bed whilst walking the dog - my little patches of psoriasis are getting better again now, the quick blast of UV does them the world of good and gives me a little bit of colour too.

I've also joined another dog walking group on the Meet up site - its new and the first proper walk is in a fortnight - should be a nice outing for me and the woofer.
Spring is almost here and I must make more of an effort to socialise a bit!

WW its hard getting that work/life balance right isnt it. Well done on the size 10 !!

Have juggled my money around online and now have a grand total of £45.98 to last until payday  This is not as bad as it sounds as I have petrol, all bills are paid and I just have to get shopping tomorrow which is usually £35-£40. My first day back at work is tuesday so its nice to have an extra day off.

After dropping DS off at his Martial Arts competition at 9am this morning I started painting the walls up the stairs and landing and managed one coat on the bit below the dado rail. Had a walk to the shop ...by heck its cold out there ! .... and a bar of chocolate jumped into my basket :o oh well, I deserve a treat :p then spent the afternoon lounging on the sofa :D

Hi Skint - hope you make it to payday ok. When is it? Not too far away?

Back at work and its back to the grindstone - as busy as ever.
Just had a nice long bath and finished the book club read - Pay It Forward. Thought it was very good - well worth a read. Reading really helps me relax and unwind, I can't go to sleep without it.

Just going to watch a bit of telly and try to have an early night - its hard work this job lark!
  • - its hard work this job lark!

:rotfl:I know what you mean, I struggled to get through my first day back yesterday.
So much for a good nights sleep too, I went to bed by 11pm last night and here I am awake at 2.30am  Gave up by 4am and made myself a cuppa, still at least I have worked out my budget for March and its looking ok at the moment despite having to pay for the glasses (£47.90 after nhs voucher, which I put on credit card :( but I aim to pay off in full when bill comes) Its a good job its a poll tax free month for me in march

    payday tomorrow :j
