Had a busy day so far.
Got up early and went to a Nationsl Trust park with the dog just as the sun was coming up and had a nice long walk looking at the baby deer.
Then it was on to Tescos and a trolley dash as the dog was in the car - spent £41.80 - more than the the £30 weekly budget but it will hopefully even out over the next couple of weeks.
The house has been cleaned from top to bottom, bed changed and washed, bins sorted and an hour's marking done.
I've just watched the Welsh rugby match and almost gave up at half time we were so rubbish but then the second half was really good - still lost though, just ran out of time:mad:.
Still got 10 books to finish marking this afternoon/evening and then its a bit of a marathon schoolwork day tomorrow.:( I'm being observed on Weds and there's loads to do before it. At least when that's over with it should get a little bit easier.
Planning a quiet night - will have some nice tea and watch a film already recorded. The rest will do me good:o0 -
Hi
You really sound like you have deserved your rest tonight! Good idea to put your feet up and watch a good film. Ive got a DVD on tonight, have started watching it earlier and will finish it off later.
Had a busy week myself .... not all good it has to be said. Work pretty horrendous then problems with roof and now carIt all means coughing up more money!
Had a wander round the local market with a friend this morning and the price of veg is going thru the roof, even at the markets. Needless to say I didnt buy so much, just some carrots parnsip and sprouts for a roast dinner tomorrow. Got a few toiletries/cleaning products at the local bargain shops to top up. Then off to Aldi to finish off. Its even getting more expensive in there now, where will it end?!!
Seem to have spent quite a bit today .... oh well we have to eat dont we. Going swimming tomorrow might even have a hour in the gym or if it is still nice then go for a brisk walk locally. Going to have a quiet day tomorrow Ive decided and may catch up on a few jobs.
Booked some of the £1 walks over the next few weeks too so that should take me out and about, going to get the bike out too.
In a mad moment this afternoon even starting thinking about a 6 month career break from work to recharge my batteries and my life in general. Lots to think about !0 -
Hi WW hope you dont mind me dropping by. (am not stalking you honest
)
I was thinking I hadnt seen you on the OS W loss for a while and was wondering if you were ok and then I discovered this thread.
Have just read your diary right through and you have given me some inspiration to pull myself together. I have been struggling to eat properly and become a bit of a recluse since xmas feeling really tired so I have given myself a kick up the rear. I do think the less you do the less you want to or the less you feel like doing.
Good luck with your exercise and financial plans. I am glad to hear your dog is well again. I have subscribed hope thats ok x0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗

Hiya Skint! Nice to see you!
I haven't posted on the OS weight thread purely because I haven't had time and haven't really posted anywhere much! The good news is that I lost 1lb this week - weighed this morning. Must be all of the work, its not been anywhere near a perfect food week!
Been swimming this morning though - 1 mile in 31.5 mins so happy with that. Just walked the dog again too, so plenty of exercise had today.
Just about to make tea but I'm not very hungry so not sure what to do yet.
Spent most of the day doing schoolwork - am getting mighty fed up with it now. I'm all ready for the week now though.
Sanch - I agree about the price of food - it seems to go up every week! Had any more thoughts on the sabbatical? Sounds exciting!0 -
Hola
How is the week going? Im so tired already and its only my first day of the week (dont work on a Monday). Will be so glad when the warmer weather comes along Jan and Feb are so dark and depressing!
Keep thinking about the career break, then think how would I manage for money .... how much of a stash would I need to have before I took the plunge etc. I have been saving over the last couple of years but that is for the long term in a stocks and shares ISA so there is no way I can dip into it. Then I think that life is so short and you should make the most of your life!!!!
Any thoughts?0 -
I'm not brave enough to take a break - don't think I'd like all that time on my hands.:o
Don't they say you should have up to 6 months wages in the bank in case of disaster? If you have that and something to live on too and a job to go back to, why not go for it?
Any ideas about what you'd like to do? Travel maybe?
Observation day tomorrow:eek::eek::eek:0 -
No Ive not got that much, unfortunately!
Would like to travel more abroad but got the dog he is old and has a few health probs so kennels not fair for him, he likes his home comforts. Would have to be travel in this country with him coming along.
I was off sick for 3 months a couple of years ago (operation) and ever since then I think I have been unsettled. I will have to have a proper think.
Good luck for the observation tomorrow, who observes you, someone from your school or Ofsted etc? You will be fine0 -
Good luck for your observation. Mine is next Tuesday. Am then going to look around a new school that has a vacancy. Very excited for that (the visit).Number of debts between us - 3 (2 @ 0%)0
-
Observation done and dusted thankfully ..... and I was given an Outstanding grading:j:j:j Hurrah! Feel like I can relax a little bit now - the last few weeks have been bonkers.
You get observed by the head or one of the deputy heads so not quite as scary as Ofsted (although we're due a visit) but pay will now take your performance into account from Sept:eek:
I'm kn*ckered - was up at 5am, couldn't sleep anymore so got up and faffed about a bit with school stuff.
Going to walk the dog one last time (did a big walk after work) and then have a bath and a flop on the sofa.
Roll on the weekend!0 -
Well done on the observation WW, must be a relief thats over. My sis is a deputy head and Ive heard tales of observations and ofsteads so have a vague idea of how gruelling they can be
Sanchsoot plans for time out sound great if you can afford it
Have been trying to stay off the junk but there have been birthdays at work this week so lots of cakes, chocolate muffins and cookies .... have tried to resistbut not always succeeded
I did manage a 45 minute walk on sunday, but its got very cold here this week so I havent ventured out since
Some good news ... I have an interview on tuesday for a new (second part-time) job in a vets. I did a level 3 btec in animal management and its something I have always fancied doing, this job is receptionist so not exactly what I had in mind but its a foot in the door. I am in a bit of a dilemma as I cant decide what to wear. Think it will be black trousers and a blouse of some description. Still hating current job (also part time/term time but not teaching) but financially need to be working full time from june.
