  • Oh my .... I'm just watching that just now! (I rarely watching anything "live" as I like to skip the Ads!)

Sure you've mentioned this before ..... separated at birth!:rotfl:

Ditto on the recording. Criminal minds, NCIS, the Following - handy for when dh away and I can't sleep. I hate the ads as well

Another super long day - I am really looking forward to the break now. I am working on Monday and Tuesday though, doing revision sessions, but I do get paid extra and the days are shorter - I should get an extra £270 ish for working though so its not all bad.

I really need to take myself in hand a bit again - food and exercise have somewhat gone to pot:o Life has been so busy that everything else has gone a bit haywire - I must get a grip and not slide back down the slippery slope of podgy slothness! Starting tomorrow! No excuses.

In fact, I'm just off to make a packed lunch to take to work to stop me indulging in "chip day" at school - that once a fortnight event that causes pandemonium in both teachers and kids!
  • Know what you mean WW I really need to get a grip too ..... sounds like a plan!

    Sanch :)
  • Right Sanch - lets seize the day and start as of midnight tonight!
  • Im with you all the way WW.... we are now officially going for it!

No more sloth or slobbing it. Good food and plenty fresh air and exercise, before long we will be running marathons and climbing Everest!

Our dogs will not recognise us! :)

  • Am so glad its friday.....

Bad news.... I didnt get the vet job :(:(

Good new.... I've got a week off work now :j

    Plans for next week:

    1. healthy food.... will meal plan tonight for the week
    2. clear spare room. My DS has offered to decorate, I think hes hoping for some money to go to nandos with his friends in half term next week ;) Will get paint from BnQ using voucher leftover from my birthday
    3. bag up all clothes lurking in dining room and take to charity shop
    4. walk for at least 30 minutes every day
    5. treat myself using £20 simply thanks voucher I won at work

Will keep looking for a second part time job. I have been in my current job for 25 years this year and in the current economic climate I'm not willing to leave for a new full time job where i might not pass the 6 months probation period. Its really hard though - I have had 2 interviews in last few months and not got the job because I cant commit to full time as and when it suits the employer to cover other people off sick or on holiday.

Bad luck on the job Skint - I don't know if I could work at a vets - I'd want to bring all of the patients home.:)
Great idea for a to do list - might have a think about it and try to come up with one too.

Well, fellow flab fighters, I did brave the scales this morning and how did this happen? I've actually lost 1lb!:rotfl: I can only put it down to being so busy and managing to burn off the rubbish eaten.
Anyway its back on the straight and narrow from today.

I think its actually the lack of hardcore exercise that's made me feel different - I think I'm less toned that I was before and thats made me feel flabby and podgy rather than the actual number on the scales.

Whatever, it can't continue - I can't ride my luck anymore.

The Tae Bo DVD arrived today so will have a bash at that (probably tomorrow) - looks hard but fun.

Just off to walk the dog again and breathe a big sigh of relief as its half term:j:j
  • Hi Everyone

Bad luck on not getting the job Skint. That's the problem these days isnt it ... employers want so much - wanting you to be mega flexible and cover for all and sundry and for every eventuality. Dont worry, something will turn up.

Well, just scoffed an entire box of maltesers and going to have a couple of glasses of wine tonight. My last blow out before I "get a grip" big style.

Will report back on my progress. Feeling very motivated now fellow "get a grippers" :)

Need a good kip tonight though. Slept really badly all week !
