  • Hi WW and everyone else too!

Well its Friday thank the lord its been a lousy week what with one thing and another. Absolutely tired out I could go and have a sleep now but am going to go shopping and get it over with so I can chill tomorrow instead.

Been so tired and stressed Ive not even done any of the exercise I planned. I reckon I have to change my mindset and make it a real pleasure and not a chore, which is how it feels just now. Any ideas anyone?!

Plus I am going to stock up on HEALTHY food so no Find*s lasagne's or spag bol !!! Not that I eat ready meals anyway but am determined to start eating very healthily and regularly too. Im so full of good intentions :)

Well done on your observation WW, I expect you are glad that Mr Gove's plans have been scuppered to scrap the GCSE I imagine that would have made a lot of extra work for you. I wonder how much all that waste of everyone's time cost in monetary terms. Stoopid.

Good luck SYA on your interview. Working with animals is really worthwhile I think and like you say its a way of getting your foot in the door.

    Talk soon !

How exciting Skint! Good luck for Tuesday - let us know how it goes?

Sanch - I know how you feel about exercise being a chore sometimes. When I'm working its really hard to motivate myself - there's always something else to do, so I make sure that the dog has a good long walk every day (he gets 3 walks a day but two of them are only about 15-20mins long, the one when I get home from work is about 45 mins) and do some form of sweaty exercise on the two weekend days. Today was a walk/jog in the park with the dog and then 20 mins of Tae Bo from YouTube and tomorrow will probably be swimming. I have days when I just can't be ar*ed though.
I ordered a Billy Blanks Tae Bo DVD from Amazon today - a whopping £2.50 inc delivery:rotfl:

Did the weekly shop today and made the mistake of not eating first - ended up spending about £10 more than planned.:o
It will all get eaten though:rotfl:

I did have to get washing liquid and fabric conditioner, kitchen roll, laminate floor cleaner and a few other household bits and pieces - about £10 altogether.

Total spend was £32 taking my total up to almost £74 but there's plenty in the freezer and cupboards now.

I got a £6 off a £40 spend voucher too but its only valid until next weekend. I may try writing a list of everything I could buy that's non-perishable that would last me until the end of the month and see whether I could get enough to see me through using the voucher so I'd only have to buy F&V otherwise.
Will I stick to it or will I end up spending twice as much? Hmmmm....

Had a good body MOT session last night and this morning - I;m looking a bit frayed around the edges due to lack of sleep and general business. So I had a good soak in the bath, a defuzz, did toe nails and fingernails, a face scrub and dead sea mask, body scrub and slathered on the eye cream and night cream.
Looked a bit better this morning.
I bought some hair dye too and so that will get sorted tomorrow.

Watched the rugby this afternoon (good result for Wales) and am waiting for The Following to start at 9pm - my new US favourite. Going to watch a bit of telly, read my book and try to have 8 hours sleep - that's very elusive to me.......

    Its good isn't it?
I like all those American crime shows - the new series of Criminal Minds has started too.

My other current favourite is Stella - probably because I'm Welsh and it reminds me of home.

    Perhaps it a Celtic thing?:rotfl:

The dog woke me up at 7am - not sure why, he didn't want anything, just to say hello:mad:

Quite a bit to do today so I thought I'd do a list to help me remember..
    • Big dog walk
    • Some form a of exercise (woke up thinking of a run but its pouring down)
    • Dye hair
    • Write at least one section of a scheme of work
    • Mark one section of a controlled assessment
    • Start looking at DSEF
    • Make a big spag bol for tea and to have during the week
    • One load of washing
    • Watch rugby
    • Sort out clothes for the week
    • Clean the bathrooms
    Better get started!
  • Thanks for the good wishes re job interview. It will be a shock to the system going from working 3 days a week 9-4.30 (term time) to working 5 days a week 8am - 12 in first job and second job from 1pm - 5.30 (yes I know :o to some people these hours and more are the norm every day) but needs must..... and am hoping I will like the vet work so much that I wont notice the extra hours .....

Raining here too WW so havent ventured out far this weekend. Went to local church table top sale yesterday and spent a whole 50p !! on a new book. Then spent all afternoon reading :o Did manage a bit of housework (hoovering and cleaned bathroom)

Am going to attack the ironing pile today, another load of washing will have to dry on airers when heating comes on about 4pm. Have got a rtc beef joint for dinner later sirloin of beef reduced from 11.85 to £5.45, I dont normally buy beef as its too expensive but this piece will do us at least 3 dinners.

WW which hair dye do you use? I currently have a lady who works from home to cut and colour my hair and its costing £36 every 8 weeks so I am trying to pluck up the courage to self colour

I use either the Perfect 10 one (actually does work in 10 mins miraculously!) or Sublime Mousse (Garnier?).
I still manage to get it everywhere though! My hair needs doing every 4 weeks so the £60 for a trim and colour at my haidressers is just out of the question - I get it coloured and cut about every third time and "fill in" the rest myself.

    Been quite productive so far....

Big dog walk - done but need to do another later (in the rain:()
Some form a of exercise (woke up thinking of a run but its pouring down) - not managed anything other than walking yet as I wanted to get the schoolwork done first
    Dye hair done
Write at least one section of a scheme of work done 2:j
Mark one section of a controlled assessment did the scheme instead, might do a bit of this later but would have to be very bored;)
Start looking at DSEF finished it
Make a big spag bol for tea and to have during the week
One load of washing in now
    Watch rugby watching now
Sort out clothes for the week
    Clean the bathrooms done

Right, been on the computer all day working so I'm turning it off to give my eyes a rest - will soothe them by watching large rugby thighs on the telly:rotfl:
  • Hi Everyone

How did the interview go Skint?
  • Thanks for asking, it seemed to go well, but they did seem to want someone who would be more flexible to cover for others off sick or on leave, even though I said on the application form that I would not be leaving my other job :( Fingers crossed will wait and see.

WW have you got anything nice planned for half term next week ?
