Hi LL!
I know what you mean - I feel like I've taken my eye of the ball a bit lately and need to get a grip again.
I need to stop spending willynilly without thinking. I have everything I need for the week foodwise and only need to pick up some extra cans of pop for work mid week. There's plenty of petrol in the car and I have a bit of cash in my purse for unexpected things - just need to work on keeping it there!
Feeling a bit run down - think its a combination of long hours at work, even more work when I get home, stress (and I hate that word!), not sleeping well and not very good food and a lack of sweaty exercise.
Going to have a bit of a chilled out evening - the dog has just been on his big walk so should be quiet for a while - and then give myself a talking to and get on with things tomorrow.
Its not like me to be lacking in oomph but that's the way I feel today
.
Tomorrow is another day.....0 -
Hi WW
hey, thats great getting the compliment in Aldi! Sometimes compliments from strangers are the best of all aren't they? They dont know you from Adam and dont have to say anything but its lovely when they do.
Ive had a quietish day today, managed to sort out the wardrobe but still got a mountain of ironing so its not quite finished! Ive felt a bit off recently too, trying to eat better (made a roast chicken dinner tonight with veg and had apple crumble for afters
) and will have the same tomorrow plus leek and potato soup for lunch. TBH I feel like I need a bomb under me or something, a bit of inspiration from somewhere. I really want to get back into exercise regime so thought I might start from 1 Feb and sort out a plan of action before then. Swimming, Gym, cycling then maybe running when Spring arrives. Got to do something instead of sitting on my a** all evening. I sit down all day at work so really need to get in gear, I felt so much better and more optimistic when I was fit. Plus Im finding it so hard to get up in the mornings so start work later than I would like.
I will let you know how it progresses .......!0 -
Good luck Sanch! I know exactly how you feel.
I've had a sulk all afternoon, given myself a bit of a talking to and got a grip!
I haven't been looking after myself very well for the past week or two and it feels like it. The poor weather has meant shorter dog walks, hardly any running and an excuse to not do very much. I was reading an article about exercise and it said if you have time to watch tv you have time to exercise. I have been incredibly busy with work but have managed a flop on the sofa from time to time too so I've really been kidding myself.
I know I need a rest every now and then (I forget that I'm 41 sometimes and not 25) but I now realise that being lazy has made me feel worse.
I done only the bare minimum in the way of looking better too - blowdried hair and makeup on but no real care taken of me. Not drinking enough water, eating poor food and not enough sleep are also taking their toll.
So it stops now!
Tonight I have had a nice long bath, done a full moisturise and gradual tanning lotion (feeling very pale, dry and yukky), filed my nails and done a face scrub and cracked open a new tub of rich night cream (bought by mum as an Xmas pressie but still in the drawer).
I'm determined to do some exercise tomorrow - if the weather is ok I'll run, if not its swimming. Exercise really does make me feel better, physically and emotionally and does help me sleep. So why am I being so lazy!!!:o If I'm honest with myself its nearly 2 weeks since I did anything that got me out of breath - that's putting me in danger of slipping back into the bad old habits that I desperately worked hard to break.
Work won't get any better in the next few weeks so I'll just have to manage time better.
That's my rant over with - if you see me moping about kick me hard up the bum please!!

Have walked the dog and been swimming - 64 lengths (1 mile) in 32 mins. Quite pleased with that - I love it once I'm there, its just making the effort to go that's the hard part.
Need to settle down with the schoolwork now and get a good chunk of it done before I walk the dog again this afternoon.
Feeling much better today.:)0 -

Hello,
Thought I'd drop in. Am also a teacher (primary) and very close to my 40th birthday. For the last couple of weeks I've worked as soon as I've got home on Friday and finished on Saturday so I can have Sunday off. Has made so much difference to the way I sleep on Sunday night and actually feel relaxed 1 day a week.
I need to get moving with the exercise but feel like all I have done lately is work, clean, cook, see to my dc and sleep.
I have quite a lot of debt I want to get out of starting with the od. Am sure if I can do that it will make me feel better psychologically.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Hola
64 lengths in 32 minutes? Wow that is Olympic standard WW ! Good on you ...
yet again not much on the exercise front for me today but I am psyching myself up for 1 Feb for the big kick off !
Got loads of fresh air this afternoon though been doing some stuff in garden, boring but it needed doing plus saw a couple of neighbours and had a nice chat.
Lets try and keep our spirits up!0 -
Hello all! Nice to see you all popping in!
Have managed to do quite a bit of schoolwork - written the first part of a new GCSE scheme of work, marked some yr 12 assignments, and done enough yr 9 prep to see me through about a month. Still have some controlled assessments to mark but they're not urgent so will plough through them a couple at a time during the week.
Also got out with the dog for a good brisk walk in the sunshine - good job as its raining again now.
Feel a bit physically tired now - a good sign that I've done some exercise!
Just waiting for my nice healthy tea of quorn fillet, salad and new potatoes to cook and have made a good lunch for tomorrow of a salad roll and fruit.
Quite a productive day all in all I suppose.
Going to have a nice bath, read my book (almost finished this one, that's 5 this month read
) and watch some telly later before an attempt at an early night.
Bracing myself for the week ahead.......0 -

What sort of a week are you having? Managed to fit in any exercise?
Im still gearing myself up for 1 Feb for the new exercise regime.
Swimming Fri I have decided, to kick it all off. Done very little this week TBH but have caught up on a bit of sleep.

I'm absolutely shattered - yet another mad week topped off with a lovely parents evening tonight.
Have done a lot of long dog walks and one leap up and down at a fitness DVD this week but no running or swimming - I'm hoping for tomorrow!
Will update properly when I've had a kip!0
