I think that can be installed into the children in other ways, I'm on benefits claiming ESA among other things, my children have a work ethic, they want to be teachers/nurses/ etc..

Their auntie is a great influence she has just gained her BA hons in social sciences and my daughters will watch her graduate..

I'm the only one in my family that doesn't work and I think each family has it's own merits, my daughters see how I save money, save up for the things I want, yes the state support us but I'm also raising four tax payers, people never seem to remember that when slating claimants.

All the benefit haters should direct their anger at prisioners, and law breakers in general, they cost the state much more money..

Possible tax payers. I thought you had 3 children. where does 4 come in?

Must be you - I understood it.

Care to translate then as I've read it several times and it still doesn't make any sense and I'm usually fairly good at reading illiterate posts.

I haven't read the whole thread, I just want to say that I have two children and one on the way. I have a full time job ...

    And I have dyslexia.

If I didn't use a computer there would be no way on earth I could do my job. We don't live in that world anymore, luckily.

The only jobs I would be unable to do would involve a pen and paper! I doubt I could be a teacher or doctor either (though there are people with dyslexia who are).

Having dyslexia doesn't stop you from working.
  • hiya just a thought maybe you could consider becoming a childminder esp as you have time in the day when your child is at school and your child will have playmates for the summer holidays. I think its a six week course and a check out and crb to become ofsted registered. i wouldnt have another child and this is certainly an immposible task as your a single mother and therefore without man.

But it's ok for you and others to judge people who choose (because the gov lets them) to stay with their children instead of leaving them to work?
And expect them to justify every move they make or want to make?

    Double standards or what! :rotfl:

Personally, I don't understand how any parent can trust 'childcare' in the form of non-family members. Some horrific things happen to children in the hands of 'carers'.

Far more horrific things happen to children in the hands of family!

Would you let the OP look after a child of yours?

Families that are getting around £800 child tax credits, the parent's money for being on the sick, and the free rent and Council Tax with free school dinners and the free milk are costing the state ( which is funded by the people who get up everyday and go to work) over £1500 a month, which is about £18,000 a year, PER family. That sure is a hefty chunk of free money!!

And what of it i'm entitled and playing by the rules..

I was employed as was my ex husband, if you want to go into this he earnt far more and paid in far more than many tax payers

You all quote this rubbish, until you are in this position then you soon change your opinion, then it's 'how do I claim ESA' seen it..

BTW, I used to own my own home, hubby was on 40k I went on holiday twice a year, all I did was wake up in the morning, that was it, disability...
I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...
