Someone got upset and deleted the above, luckily I had copied and pasted it so reposted it. Looks like someone got upset.
Note to whoever deleted (Answers on a postcard please), wiki is an open source hub of knowledge, you have no right to delete factually correct information. The entry will be reposted each time you delete it.
P.S Any MSE members, please google "mse dvla combined parking solutions" and click on the link to this thread, while your at it click on the clearest website link as well" If a few of you do this once a day (It only registers once a day) it will shoot up near the top of the list when googling cps
Not only is it back, it's bold.0 -
Nice to see it there.
I've done my daily duty and clicked on the link that google gives back to this thread. :j0 -
Does anyone have a link confirming CPS's suspension by the DVLA that is verifiable eg not from a forum.
Wiki are deleting the paragraph about his suspension without a verifiable link / source.
Thanks0 -

All I got is an email this morning by the person below at the DVLA directlyGood Morning ,
Thanks for bringing these to our attention.

In relation to Combined Parking Solutions, these were suspended from access to vehicle keeper data on 30th August 2012 for a period of 3 months due to signage issues. They have attempted to clarify that keeper liability only applies where the keeper is unable or unwilling to provide details of the driver – by “details” I think they do mean name and address. However, DVLA will act if we are presented with evidence to show that they attempt to enforce keeper liability where 5.1(b) has not been met.

In relation to all of the others - we will look into each and action accordingly.

Operational Support & Development Directorate | C1/East | DVLA | Swansea | SA6 7JLExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
It's an interesting issue, the DVLA do not seem to publish the details and I doubt the BPA will as they will just give them points and show an anonymous name on their sanctions page.
So if other companies are suspended in the future, potentially the public will not know, allowing them to carry on issuing tickets that people pay in the believe they will get their (Or the RK) details.0 -

That's vaguely amusing. Wiki once deleted my amendments to a post for a similar reason. The thing is, I was present at the incident in question. So a reporters second hand account somehow becomes more credible than that of someone who was there. I think that illustrates the power of the written word. Once something is in print, it magically becomes true and a legitimate source.
Why not see if parkingcowboys will print the DVLA emails on their website, and then point the wiki to that site to see if that will do as a reference.
Or perhaps someone on this board knows a local journalist who would be prepared to write a small article in their local paper. Then that can be used as the reference.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -

Perky can still issue tickets and get the names & addresses from the ill-informed people whom "appeal".0 -

Or appealing via a throwaway email putting the address of another parking company in.0

If he had a car park near me that I was aware of I'd be collecting them like confetti and then posting them to him with an anonymous message taking the p|ss.Je suis Charlie.0
