I think the member companies and Local Councils pay a fee.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

thxThe word about the scammers is spreading like marmite here in the westcountry.
We workers all love it and the ppc hate it :rotfl:0 -
EDIT - and no I have no concern about people knowing IP addresses. They are easily available and traceable and not actually owned by the user.
Quite. Mikey (text removed by MSE Forum Team) is obviously unaware that every time he visits a website (any website) it logs his IP address, what operating system he is using, what browser he is using, and what website he arrived from (if he used a link to get there). And that's before the website does anything active such as placing a tracking cookie on his computer.
Top-secret information it is not.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Even without access to the DVAL database, the ticketing operation could easily continue and still be extremly profitable, if the figures ive seen quoted on here about those who pay up without question are correct (60%) then it could easily be buisness as usual, without the hassle of the BPA codes, or court action. non payers could just be written off, or if there daft enough to appeal with name +address then let off with a much reduced ( but still proffitable) fee
True enough, but it would put him at a competitive disadvantage if he were no longer able to tell his customers that he could pursue "offenders" through the courts.
And the statements on his website and his signs about obtaining RK details from the DVLA are misrepresentation, because he can't.Je suis Charlie.0 -
I have to ask, do you set out to destroy every thread ? Have you actually given any useful advice on here ever ? I ask as your posts always seem so argumentative.
On rare occassions he actually agrees with you but this comes at a cost.. its usually when he's disagreeing with someone else :rotfl:0 -
Perky's problem seems to be that he takes it all so personally - which is never a good idea in business.
There are plenty of PPCs quietly getting on with their disreputable business, keeping their heads down, not rocking the boat with court action, and raking in their ill-gotten gains every day. But not Perky: he seems driven to prove that he is right; merely creaming in money-for-nothing is not good enough for him.
These latest signs are a perfect illustration: the other PPCs haven't rushed to change their signage as a result of VCS vs. HMRC: they know perfectly well that so long as they stay compliant with their toothless watchdog's feeble code-of-practice, and they don't upset the applecart by incurring the wrath of the authorities in the form of the DVLA or a judge, then their grubby little gravy train will simply rumble on as usual.
But not Perky: he had to prove that he was right, and show us all how clever he is. It's a recipe for disaster, as he has now discovered.Je suis Charlie.0 -

I know. On another thread, he agreed with my usual advice on Blue Badges and the Equality Act, etc. I'm now worried that I ought to double-check with my solicitor. Again.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

All this is clearly true.
And ofc, it Perky's Achilles Heel. Under the right circumstances it will be possible to induce him to self destruct on the wheels of justice just so he can avoid his colossal ego being deflated.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts.
