Now it is a while since I have been there but I am sure the signs at the St Andrews Quay Retail Park on the Clive Sullivan Way in Hull mentions "fine".
I will check the next time I go but not sure when that will be.0 -
I think it should also be an immediate suspension where an AOS member has acquired keepers details for a non AOS company.
This would be as serious if not a more serious matter then misleading signs.
I have myself reported CPSS and TNC over this matter recently.0 -

Money tap turned off by firm’s misleading car-park signs
[15 Sept 2012] Get ready to congratulate parking company boss Mike Perkins for being elected to the British Parking Association (BPA) ‘approved operator scheme’ board, which supervises the activities of private parking companies and awards ‘sanction points’ against companies in what the BPA claims is its strict disciplinary regime. Perkins is the operations and strategy manager of Combined Parking Solutions – always good to have industry people policing industry people.
So it’s time to have a look at his company's website, where the illiterate and badly punctuated rubbish that infests parking-company signs is on display for all to see. It quotes Perkins as saying:
‘It was an honour in being voted onto the AOS member board, I hope that I can bring my knowledge and share my experiences with the industry as we move into this new and exciting time of parking enforcement, Combined Parking Solutions has always faced the challenges it faced head on.’
He goes on: ‘The Become recognised as the leading authority on parking enforcement on private land and in unregulated car parks, working to raise standards of performance for the good of operators and motorists alike.’
What? Who knows what this rhubarb means?
Less than happy news of Perkins’ company now reaches me, taking the gloss off his elevation to chief BPA milk monitor. Combined Parking Solutions’ car-park signs have been deemed so misleading that even the dopey civil servants at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) have decided to ban them. The DVLA has just suspended the firm’s access to motorists’ names and addresses, cutting its income from parking-charge penalties to virtually zero overnight and meaning drivers can safely ignore the non-fines that the company imposes for supposedly breaking car-park rules.
Funny, though, that there’s nothing about this in the ‘latest news’ section of the company’s website. Funny also that it wasn’t the BPA or the DVLA that blew the whistle, but campaigners against dodgy parking practices.
Makes you wonder whether the BPA’s annual audit of private car-park signs, done by external auditors and trumpeted as another triumph of industry self-regulation, is really up to much.
But we know the answer to that. It’s all so ably supervised by the board on which Perkins now sits, one of whose members – Simon Renshaw-Smith of Excel Parking Services – managed to ride out the tide of austerity by paying himself a £679,000 salary last year. For everthing else there's mastercard.

Martin has a way with words, perhaps I could take a few pointers from him
He does hit the nail on the head when discussing these vermin though, perhaps we could nominate him for a knighthood in the New Years Honours List ? Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
The BPA still seem to think that perkys outfit still has access to dvla data, when advised they had been suspended she said "they are showing on out database", you need to check with the DVLA as its their data.,,,
Surely the BPA should know if their member is suspended or dont they want to admit it.....
It says it all when the BPA wont tell you what they dont want you to knowFor everthing else there's mastercard.

I suspect so, the kings of spin are the BPA, shooting off a complaint to the DVLA now about the non conformance and misleading CPS websiteExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?

The last paragraph.
'Combined Parking Solutions Limited, run by Mike Perkins have recently had their access to obtain registered keepers details electronically from the DVLA temporarily suspended. To be able to obtain registered keepers details via electronic means from the DVLA it's a requirement for a Private Parking Company to be a member of the BPA and registered under the BPA's "Approved Operator Scheme". Mike Perkins had been elected as a Board Member of BPA's Approved Operator Scheme days before the suspension'
Someone got upset and deleted the above, luckily I had copied and pasted it so reposted it. Looks like someone got upset.
Note to whoever deleted (Answers on a postcard please), wiki is an open source hub of knowledge, you have no right to delete factually correct information. The entry will be reposted each time you delete it.
P.S Any MSE members, please google "mse dvla combined parking solutions" and click on the link to this thread, while your at it click on the clearest website link as well" If a few of you do this once a day (It only registers once a day) it will shoot up near the top of the list when googling cps0
