    Next question ....

MrsB has had a text from A who's name is in the 'people' folder as a whatsapp contact
In the 'messaging' it comes up with *just* A's number and *not* name.
We open up the message and then press the bottom left button which brings up several options including 'add to people'
We then press this but A's name is not on the list.:(

So ... pressed 'add new contact' (or whatever it said) and entered it manually.
Now, we have 2 entries in 'people' for A

    :(

.... system because you have proved you are at the address
If neither delivery is made to your address and no correspondence is posted there, this seems like an open invitation for those holding stolen credit cards.

Just recieved my G300 from Very this morning.

Timely delivery and within the allocated delivery slot :)

Prior to getting the mobile I followed the instructions above for updating the FW to ICS and prepared an SD card.

I put the SD card in the mobile along with my sim card before switching the mobile on for the 1st time and.....

It updated immediately to ICS :)

Thanks to the poster above who has supported everyone in installing ICS.

I'm a very happy punter, lovely phone with a beautiful screen.

So happy I didn't buy the Samsung Ace now...

Love this phone, but am struggling to send mms picture messages. I unlocked it to my tesco payg and they sent a text to update all settings, which I have checked and they are correct. However the message just sayes sending and never actually sends, any ideas?

It updated without you pressing both volume keys?

PS using file manager delete the update folder on the SD now to avoid accidental reflashing.

    Also (this is for everyone!)

Go into settings - developer options and make sure 'Force GPU rendering' is ticked. This ICS can make better use of the hardware such as the graphics processor than older Androids. This will speed up some screens.

It is very watchable for movies, I had 45 minutes wait to kill today so watched a bit more of a movie, hardly took much out the battery at all (on full brightness permanently these days) (MX Player from the market is best video player.)

Yes, I simply switched it on and it started to update the FW.

It left me feeling quite disconcerted as if it bricked I wouldn't have even of had the pleasure of it working at least once!

Just DL'ing the MX player now.

Keep any more tips coming please :)

Interesting... the ICS version I am using is a later kernel and ROM version and has no vodaphone customisation. Think I will stick!

    Thanks for the info though.
