Does anyone who uses Ovivo (or any Vodafone network ) have any problems receiving mms messages or is it just me ?

Staying in a central London hotel with no Orange signal - and no, I wasn't going to pay the hotel's outrageous price to use their system - I discovered that the FM radio functions without a connection. :) OK, logical you may think, but I had previously used apps for stations not on FM and apps use data.

This led me to thinking. I know I should switch data off when travelling abroad to avoid paying high rates for data roaming. But presumably I could pick up local FM stations without using wireless.

Going a step further, I guess I could use the maps to prepare a driving route? I know I wouldn't get live data mapping without a connection, but journey preparation would be useful.

Has anybody done this when abroad? Thanks.

If you use the NavFree app you can use the map for the country you are visiting and use it just on GPS without data

I got a couple through over Xmas no probs over Ovivo.

On saying that one was a duplicate of one sent to my O2 phone which did arrive about 5 minutes before the Ovivo one but don't know if they were sent at the same time ???

My £8.32 Topcashback claim from Very for my G300 became PAYABLE today :T It took 3.5 months to reach that point although at first it didn't track, I raised a 'missing claim' and it found the purchase just fine. Such a good deal!
