they left special deliveries on the door step? I'm assuming sent by Special Delivery if worth £800+
No, there were not sent by Special Delivery, just ordinary Royal Mail or Parcelforce.
Luckily, this is no longer a problem, where I live now; the same items are delivered correctly or returned to depot if I am not in and a card left.0 -

My medical supplies can, and are, delivered by Royal Mail or Parcelforce - just depends on the size of the package and who the sender is. Quite simple really.
Do you have any more stupid questions?0 -

oh, now now Paul
for someone who gets the Police/trading standards involved when someone puts a foot near your door, you are a bit trigger happy with the insults
This is a thread about Royal Mail deliveries, you posted on it and yet don't actually know who delivered it.
so more a stupid answer from yourself0 -
I believe my comment on the other Royal Mail was just laughing about the fact the poster was referencing this story again. I found it funny as she had not noticed that she had previously commented on the same thread with the same story.
I am unsure why you want to start an argument about something i posted 6 months ago. I suspect you are fishing for some sort of online exchange of insults. Life's too short
Not at all. I found your comments fairly patronizing in all honesty. I read a lot of devil's advocates on here that can't help segue into flippancy. Usually said people shout the loudest in their own circumstances (as is to be expected I suppose).0 -

I'm glad you found them so as that is what I was aiming for.

Do I really have to spell out every reason for knowing who delivers my medical supplies and left items on my doorstep? Well here goes...
Back in the mid 80s, Royal Mail spilt into Royal Mail and Royal Mail Parcels. But items sent by Royal Mail could end up being sent by Royal Mail Parcels even though senders had paid for their item to be sent by Royal Mail.
I was living in Cambridge 1983-1995 so it was during this time that Royal Mail divided into Royal Mail and Royal Mail Parcels. Within a few years, Cambridge became a test-bed area for the rebranding of Royal Mail Parcels to Parcelforce (they actually called themselves Royal Mail Parcelforce). Items sent via Royal Mail could still be delivered by Royal Mail Parcelforce so, if I was out, I would have no idea who delivered as I could not rely on the postal stamps to determine who had delivered it.
Although items sent via Royal Mail could end up being delivered by Royal Mail Parcelforce it did not seem to happen that items sent by Royal Mail Parcelforce were delivered by Royal Mail.
When I began to have problems with items left on my doorstep the culprit was initally found to be Royal Mail. It is not possible to sue Royal Mail but it was a criminal offence (under the Post Office Act 1953) if they failed to ensure the safe delivery of postal items. Despite repeated complaints items were still left on my doorstep by Royal Mail so I went to the authority that could take action under the Post Office Act - that authority just happened to be the Police. The problems were quickly resolved.
I never had problems with Royal Mail Parcels. But, as soon as the test-bed for rebranding commenced in Cambridge, I then had problems with Royal Mail Parcelforce. This was because delivery staff were given incentives to deliver every item. If they did not meet the targets they did not receive those incentives.
The manager of the Royal Mail Parcelforce office made an offer to put a Special Instruction at his delivery office to ensure my packages would get delivered correctly. That failed and I determined this was because there was no Special Instruction issued.
In ensure safe delivery of my packages I actually paid a sizeable sum each year to Royal Mail Parcelforce. By paying Royal Mail Parcelforce that money all they did was issue a Special Instruction at the delivery office. From then on I had no problems.
So, Custardy, don't assume that everyone else is more stupid than you are, that is simply an impossibility!0 -

ok.. so probably delivered mostly by Parcelforce section van driver.
I still can't get my head around items worth £800+ being sent by standard delivery. How much were these insured up to, if item was damaged lost in transit?0 -

Does anyone actually know what the item was?0
