Congratulations I hope it all goes well.

I think my wedding is on the theme of "not the done thing". My cousin is getting married just before me and seems to be having things "because everyone else has them" like a traditional wedding dress, posh cars and pastel colours. My wedding is going to be more along the theme of "because no one else has them". I can't wait to show people you don't have to have a wedding exactly the same as everyone elses.

    RE: Save the date magnets

Just went on to order some more magnets from VistaPrint, under 'personal' section and now they are reduced to.....

    .....wait fot it.....

FREE!!!! Cant get any more MoneySaving than that!!

I uploaded a picture black and white picture of myself (that adds £3.49 to the order) and my 'beloved' on to 2/3 of the magnet, then just added our names and the date running up the side in black curly font. Really simple, but looks really elegant.

My o/h is from overseas so I am sending them to all his family, even those we don't expect to come as its just a nice momento. Only have to pay for shipping.

Think I might use them instead of cards forwhen we have our first baby....

Ok, so now I'm starting to think too far ahead!!

FORGOT TO SAY, THINK THE NEW DEAL IS ON TIL END OF THE MONTH

My partner and I are getting married in Milton Keynes next August. He only asked me a couple of weeks ago but we think....WHY WAIT?! We've spoken to our local vicar and he says no problemo but we are currectly looking for a venue to host the reception. Anybody in MK got any suggestions for somewhere around here that has wonderful food and a great atmosphere but is not tooooooo expensive. We are looking at approx 100 guests.

    HELP PLEASE!
we went to a lovely reception at wilton hall and another one last year at The Bell Inn in Beachampton (by stony stratford).

Ok, so I'm starting to stress about my wedding cake. We've got ages to go yet, so no decision need to be made yet, but it all seems so expensive!

My mother keeps suggesting different places she knows that do really nice wedding cakes, but we really can't stand the thought of paying £300 plus for a cake! We're happy to spend on the things we care about, but we aren't fussed about the cake. I know we can get nice simple ones from ASDA, marks and spencer etc but we don't want a fruit cake.
We would quite like sponge, chocolate, carrot cake or a combination of all three. I know sponge won't support fruit cake - am I going to have problems with this with other cakes?
So I guess I'm left with getting a bakery to make and ice me cakes. We'll be happy with plain white icing - but my mother seems to think the bakeries will still charge me a fortune for this.
So, before I pull my hair out, any help please???
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o
