How did you manage???? It shows me it is from £7.99... I was checking last week, but it was the same price. Tell us your secret!!!!

    Hi Ginvzt,

I think you may have to register first on VistaPrint to get the deals on the magnets. I went on and uploaded my photo etc when it was £7.99.

They then sent me an email saying that it was down to £1. When I went back to actually order it it had been reduced again to £0.

Try registering and uploading your picture - you don't have to do anything right away as it saves it in "My Portfolio" indefinatly.

Good luck and hope that helps.

Yeah you have to register for the offers. Thanks for the tips Becster sent off for 10 free calendar magnets today and only had to pay £2.70 for the postage

Lots of photographers start at under £500, best place to look & get a deal is on ebay

    http://clothes.listings.ebay.co.uk/Wedding-Accessories_Wedding-Photography_W0QQfclZ3QQfromZR11QQsacatZ98744QQsocmdZListingItemList

prices there start at £99 - most advertisers have a website, and make sure you check out a few to make comparisons on price, style and cost.

Re photographer- don't get sucked into getting the luxury albums etc. I just stated that I wanted the prints only and I think I paid £300 that was for about 100 b&w and colour prints. you can then buy a nice paperchase album and make your own using the proper photo corners- you can buy them out of your wedding present money for a fraction of the cost! Also, do disposable table cameras too but be prepared to throw a large proportion of the snaps away! You will get a few good ones though of things like the first dance, if your photographer isn't staying on.

A tip for the reception, see if your favourite restaurant has an upstairs or area they can cordon off and if they can do a set menu or hot banquet/buffet for you. It will be cheaper than the hotel who will factor room hire into the price of the food (even though at face value it seems to be free!). We had tapas for ours so very cheap and share-able. But we were happy to go for relaxed and informal (we didn't have table plans or a top table as such). They let us stay in the area after we'd eaten for drinks till closing time, and let us use the PA system to play our own CDs so we got a bit of a dancefloor going!

Entertainment- if you have any amateur musicians, poets, dramatists, anything in your family then organise a night of "turns"- your family and friends will enjoy showing off their talents and also the special gift that it will give to you on your wedding day- trust me! Make sure it is well planned out and that people let you know what they'll be doing- you'll need a compere too so someone could volunteer for that "talent" too! It doesn't matter if they aren't x-factor standard just enjoy it and try to get as many people involved as possible including children.

Another tip- get married on a weekday availability is much better for all services and therefore won't be at premium costs either.

I am desperately looking for a burgundy bridesmaid dress for my daughter. The wedding is in 4 weeks.
The dress needs to be between a size 18 and 22 as she is rather well endowed, we will probably have to take it in a little at the waist but we are used to that.
I have done the ebay thing and we would like to get one from a chainstore. We have checked out BHS but as I have trouble walking I can only do a couple of shops at a time so we are a little behing in our searches.
So if moneysavers don't mind having a little peek as they are shopping would be much appreciated.
    Cheers.

Digital camera hire is getting popular here, already is in the US. better quality prints than disposable + no wastage.

Hi, my fiance and I are getting married in September next year and have the cars, venue (inc dj food, etc) and cake already booked. We've used local companies as we prefer to help local businesses.

Where we are trying to save a little here and there is on the invites. my fiance and a friend of hers are going to make the cards, but what we want is card pockets to put the invite in and then send it all in an envelope - like here:

    http://www.theweddingstudio.info/product.asp?product_id=3

We want the pocket to be in a sort of cornflour blue colour, but can't find anyone who sells these pockets anywhere.

    Anyone have any idea?
