You could do it all now if you wanted, no harm in being organised and it would mean you have nothing to worry about. Im getting married next May and Ive had it all booked since about March/April this year. Found what I was looking for so didnt see the point in waiting any longer :)

Heres a wedding calendar for an example.

August is a very popular time and a lot of the time you may find things are booked up up to 2 yrs in advance

What we did was book / arrange the "important" things first ,venue, photographer, transport, florist,co ordinator etc
  • Thanks for all your replies. Got the church, venue for reception, friend now agreed to do photography, hair by a friend, suits for men organised. Cake is an on-going thing and should be organised soon. Went to the florists today and they told us to come back in June to organise flowers! Is that right or should I look for another florist?

Hi I'm a Registrar mainly working at Approved Premises, Stately Homes, Hotels etc. Often I see the room set for the reception and notice the flower arrangements which must cost a fortune. One of the most stylish table settings I have seen this season was a sparkling clean milk bottle with a single flower in it. Just an idea.

    Hey Guys

Just a quick potential offer for you if your getting married! My girlfriend is an up anc coming photographer who will be looking to do some kind of promotion I would imagine. She has spoken of doing a free wedding or reduced rate wedding to help with her porfolio and get her name out there a bit.

Any here getting married? (Pref South West)

Drop me a line saying when, where and I'll pass it on to her.

I've just started entering the competitions (July 07). When I win I'll update this signature. Look on the bright side, I shouldn't have to update it very often.

good tip for the wedding night................to save money on expensive ribbed condoms, just slip some frozen peas into the condom....and hey presto...a ribbed condom at half the price.

but what happens when they defrost you'll have mushy peas and i cant imagine that would be very pleasant...
