We went to see the hotel today and booked it :-) so now all the major deposits are paid, everything is booked and the girls dresses are both ordered! Now just to find a decent price on a colour printer to do my invites on! XxxDebt free finally :j

Well done Trixsie!
I also have our hotel confirmed and I might be getting my dress cheaper than I thought! Its still €1000 but much better than the €1590 I was first quoted which I thought was terrible!! We have our chapel and also our photographer (who is a friend) booked.
As it stands our budget is at €17.5k which I know is a huge huge amount for one day but I am determined to DIY as much as possible in order to bring costs down! The major part is the food, which is coming in at €7500 for 150 but it includes everything!
My friends have asked me what I want as a wedding gift and my Bestie suggested they pull together and get us our cake. I think its such a wonderful idea as we were only going to have a plain one but it would be nice to take that cost off. I think I might accept as it means the 3 of them don't have to worry about what to get me..
Other than that, I've done not a whole lot! I've favour boxes (bargain price), a guest book and I bought a little Mr & Mrs sign off ebay.
I'm thinking I only need a few more little bits off ebay to make the room look done as I've decided to go with the centerpieces the hotel provides!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Well done you tatabubbly :-) what centre pieces does your hotel provide? Ours provides candelabras but as we want a winter themed wedding I don't think these would go.if your wedding is affordable for you that's all that matters :-) we're having stress coz I've already got people asking about plus ones and we can't afford to invite random people and mil2b has been an absolute nightmare about it. Really thinking let's just cancel it all and run away to get married lol what a good idea about your cake, I was gonna make ours but it comes with the hotel package now so that's one less thing to worry about :-) xxxDebt free finally :j

Oh thats cool!
Yep, we can afford it, we are really lucky!
They provide mirror centerpieces with vases and lillies in them which look nice and crisp but people can talk around them.
Huh, my MIL2B has already invited randomers to our day but they aren't getting an invite. Its me and my OH day, not anyone elses. It'd be okay if they were contributing but they aren't.. Meh!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

I wish I could get through to her that we can't afford to invite random ppl and she said it was just her with a plus one but it's still extra costs plus she wants ppl we don't want to invite but oh is being a wimp bout it atm lol need to kick him into touch I think. Those centrepieces sound amazing, much better than ours lol xxxDebt free finally :j

So an update of what we've done so far -
Booked hotel, registry, dj and photographer
Bought bridesmaid dresses
Bought my shoes and handbag
Bough card and envelopes to make invites
Got lights for centrepieces
Started buying everything with snowflakes on it lol gonna have a good look around in the Xmas sales too
Still need to find jars for sweet buffet, visit cake makers to design cake, find a florist, book honeymoon and sort boys out with superhero stuff. I'm sure I'm missing a few things but with a year to go I don't think we are doing too badly :-) xxxDebt free finally :j

Lol tata we are due to move house in the new year so I wanted to be organised and well prepared so all we have to focus on is the move. I've boxed up so much stuff that I don't really know what I've got anymore lol xxxDebt free finally :j

LOL Trixie, I know exactly what its like to live out of boxes.
Atm, we live abroad so my mum has been getting parcels delivered to her house! I believe our wedding invites and cufflinks arrived this week.. All for €77 which I did not think was bad. I have to buy some envelopes (as the cards came seperate) and some diamantes in the craft shop to bling them up and thats it! Hoping to get them on ebay so I've budgeted another €20 for that!
I'm doing okay at bagging my bargains so far so good.. Planning on looking on etsy for veil and belt and maybe the bridesmaid dresses? Trying not to spend a fortune on them as I have to dress 3 ladies!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250
