Hi AJ, if you're standing up in the kitchen doing more stuff, go and sit down and rest that poor foot
Not sure about the organised bit - I think I'm probably a bit mad :rotfl:

I did the first set of biscuits, Mr AJM has been cutting out the second batch. We now have German biscuits coming out of our ears and will be making far more. Not sure we will have any left by Christmas and I would love to make some as Christmas gifts for our families. Don't worry, I have been resting my foot a lot, it reminds me often enough!
Last minute resting ready to cook dinner once the last batch of biscuits is out.
We now have meat/fish in the freezer to last the rest of the month, our shopping was far cheaper than I expected!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Still here and still have a very annoying foot! I am sick of people asking how I am for me only to be able to say that it is easier with the things I can already do but I still can't do x, y and z. Another physio appointment today so I brought up with him how annoyed I am by it. I have done a bit loading through it with him supervising and will be doing more on Thursday. It is currently really difficult to walk but at least the discomfort is in a new place in my foot
I am starting to be able to do a bit more exercise anyway, cycling seems to be fine so long as I don't overdo it or do it for too long. I am also able to swim and use a pull buoy so I am only using my arms. I thought I would ache a lot today and I don't at all so I obviously didn't do enough so will try and go for the whole swim session tomorrow.
Physio is happy for me to drive when I want but Mr AJM is saying that while he is still off he will be my taxi, so apart from helping him out on Friday getting him back from his bike MOT I will be able to drive again next MondayMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I managed to start negotiating going downstairs last night as my sister in law has very shallow ones and I was determined to try. I have made myself do it all day today as well as I am desperately trying to combat the bad messages my brain has started sending. It is still a little sore and with a limp, unfortunately when I remove my strapping it is very sore and not so easy but there has been such an improvement in the last 24 hours. I have my next appointment tomorrow so hopefully we can move forward even more, especially with the good results I have had.
I only had time for a short time on the exercise bike and my physio exercises at the gym today as we had to work late and the pool was shut by the time I finished
I need to drive tomorrow which will be supervised by Mr AJM and then need to go out on my own on Friday
I have something terrible to admit...I have just made fajitas for the first time. I normally wimp out and let Mr AJM do it as I don't like cooking away from recipes but I have just done it and am so proud of myself.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

It's not like you kicked a puppy!
Congratulations on your first fajitas.0 -
The countdown has started...the promotion board at work sits in 12 days time. I am in a very strong position if rumours are to be believed so hopefully won't be disappointed this year. It is annoying as it won't take effect until March 2015 but at least it will be happening. I would expect to find out within a couple of days so hopefully I will have some good news 2 weeks today. Now I just need to get my body fit and ready for it!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Good luck AJ :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Could any of you lovely people help me please? How do I work out if we are better OPing or saving? The mortgage I am OPing is 4%. Although I like beating the mortgage down and watching everything decrease I just want to make sure I am doing the right thing.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Hi aj, if its 4% I think you will be pushed to beat that with a savings acct, but have a look at martins calculator, I think its in the mortgage section of the site. Good luck for the promotion tooMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
