I have a dream...to be a MFW

I think I need to get some recipe books or at least start looking elsewhere for recipe ideas. As much as we both love thai inspired food I don't want us to get sick of it. So far this morning I have managed to check my food inventory and decide on 2 meals. This is not going to get us very far!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Gym was not so hard today, although I'm a bit disappointed in my rowing. I thought I was quite good but a challenge that I am doing only puts me in the average category. Hopefully I can improve on this through the month.
Just had my lunch and watching a bit of tv. I have run out of motivation so I am hoping after a short rest that I can persuade myself to go and bake.
Plan for today
Check food inventory is up to date, meal plan from it and make shopping list Meal plan done until Thursday
Gym/swim Only had time for the gym
Shopping Done
Bake lemon drizzle cake (meant to do this 2 weeks ago and need to do it now before the lemons aren't worth using)
Clean kitchen (after baking) and utility room
Look at christmas present ideas, try and fill in a few more blanks and possibly buy something.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Money transferred for today's piano lesson, other than this I have no money news to report.
We are pricing up a large online butcher order, some selection packs which are good value and some more expensive packs that will well and truly pack our freezer.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I love Christmas, but the thought of wrapping fills me with dread. Hopefully Mrs E can be coerced again this year0 -

I don't mind wrapping and do all of ours...and the shopping...and the card writing, however I don't like having to do it against the clock in December so I am hoping to be prepared. I would like to have the shopping done by the end of October and everything wrapped by the end of November.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Well reminded AJ - I have unclaimed expenses to submit. It takes so bleedin' long to complete the mileage, parking etc. I usually need to set aside a couple of hours!!February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)
MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

Submitted my MFiT total, not sure I will escape the red anytime soon!
We have just had the most amazing dinner, tuna steaks with sesame soy and ginger marinade, noodles and stir fried courgettes, followed by baked nectarines with brown sugar and cinnamon. I am starting to get the confidence to try new things with my cooking although I do need to get ideas from recipes still. Hopefully I will be able to make my own recipe ideas soon. I am going to have to get more confident on doing full roasts by myself without resorting to frozen roast veg and yorkshires so I will put something into the meal plan for next week.
I have had a strange idea of buying no ready-made Christmas treats this year. I have some biscuits that I have been planning on making for years and never getting around to it so that will be a start. Mr AJM is half German so we always try to base Christmas eve around that so I have looked at a stollen recipe and think it is manageable. I am going to start making some food plans and a bit of a rough timetable so I know when I need to make things. I am quite excited about my Christmas plans nowMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Your dinner sounds delicious.
Mrs E is half Austrian, so lots of tasty culinary traditions on that side of the family0
