Email about council work at the end of the month
    Sort medicine cabinet
    Sort airing cupboard
    Tidy cupboards in spare rooms
    Tidy music room
    Tidy utility room
    Tidy master bedroom
    Piano lesson

I can now see my new e-savings account on my internet banking :D I didn't spend yesterday or today's £10 however I did have a £12 piano lesson today, I don't normally budget for these and then struggle to pay them three times a year. I have transferred the £12 else where ready for when I get the bill (I will try and remember to do this weekly) and have put the £8 change into my new account ready for my ISA at the end of the month.

Just had hot and sour pork & pepper stir fry, mmmmm :D

I have a can of chick peas that Mr AJM bought on a whim ages ago, can anyone suggest what I can use them in please? I am not a huge curry fan. I seem to manage to use most of my food...apart from the things DH buys because we might use them when he goes out shopping! Also, can anyone suggest a way of using up a bottle of BBQ sauce please? Since I have started cooking properly and not having takeaways there has been less of a need to use it.

    Hey AJ

I know Tilly makes a mean Couscous and veg and chick peas.. I am sure she would not mind sharing the recipe.. She is away I think, but will soon be back..

For the BBQ sauce, there's chicken new yorker.. or can be used as a base for spicy ribs..

The ingredients are however listed with their American names, it shouldn't be very difficult to translate it to English English :)

or if you prefer a WW recipe, here it is.

    Thanks US :D

Fair enough for all ingredients.. Zuchini is courgettes, cilantro is coriander and bell pepper is your usual yellow/red pepper..

Apologies AJ if you knew all of that already :o

I didn't know the name for the coriander so thanks. I can put that into my meal plan and use something else up.

We are going out for dinner on Saturday night for our BILs birthday so all the meals in the plan can move along a day now. We have a voucher that we won in a raffle for a meal for 2 and are going to pay the rest for him and Mr AJMs sister as a birthday present.

I'd pop the chickpeas in a chilli or use them in a soup that we have. BBQ sauce - what about hunters chicken?

Ok, seeing as you ask so nicely :D

So long as Mr AJM can take a short career break we would like to go away for 3 months when I finish work (hence why we need to achieve MF status). I would like to start in Oz and spend a bit of time with DHs brother and his family as we don't see them very much but then predominantly spend a lot of time in Asia. We fell in love with Thailand on our honeymoon and I would like to spend longer there and take in a Thai cookery course at the same time. I have quite a pull to Malaysia and we need to spend a few days in Singapore as DH had a couple of years there as a boy and he would like to retrace his steps. The plan is to take a couple of short cruises to achieve this. I would be interested in seeing some of China if we could fit it in on the trip but if not then that would be a later trip.

I have never been to Africa or South America so we like to see some of those countries on a later trip, there are some good clipper yacht cruises around South America. I also want to visit Hawaii as I love the night sky and it is the best place in the world to observe.

There are also so many places to visit in Europe that I haven't seen yet.

If we could achieve MF status by our 10th anniversary it would give us a year to save the mortgage payments towards travel and have around £14.5 k but there may be a possibility of my career being extended which would help immensely and take the pressure off the MF date. I can apply for this from September 2017 and intend on doing this with the hope of finding out quite early if it will happen.

Wow that sounds absolutely amazing :D

I hope you are feeling better now aj x

I thought I was fully better yesterday but started to feel a bit rough last night. I was going to try the gym this morning but I need to be sensible so will leave it another day.

Our cleaner will be here in 45 minutes so I am going out for a couple of hours starting with window shopping for a new dining table, I am prepared with paper, pen, tape measure and camera. I have a huge shopping list which should last until Sunday or Monday apart from top ups for milk. Question is, can I spend a couple of hours away from the house without spending any of my own money...?

I downloaded a walking app last night to try and inspire me to move my butt, one of my friends uses one and she has shamed me as have some of you into doing something. So, I am going for a walk this afternoon. I would find it so much easier to go out with Mr AJM but we have both got very lazy and he is not always keen to do anything in the evening. If he then wants to go out later then that is a bonus. How far I go will depend on how I am feeling but for now I will be happy to walk a mile as it is more than I have done for the last few days.

Off to double check my shopping list once more and then I am out of here. x
