I have a dream...to be a MFW

Mr AJMs meeting with his son seemed to go well last night. He is going to watch him play at a gig on Sunday night and I am going along too  hopefully it will go well.
Dinner tonight was sea bass fillets, jasmine rice and cabbage. It was meant to have ginger, chilli and garlic on top but I burnt itit was too much to think I could successfully cook 3 new meals this week. I have meal planned and bought the food for the weekend and already have a shopping list for Monday.
Mr AJM has had his pay statement through and he is getting £800+ before tax for that youth music stuff we were doing at Easter. My pay is taking a little longer to go through as I am not already on their pay roll but we were only thinking we would get £75 so it is a bonus.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

That will be really good AJ - you can suss each other out before you are introduced and will have plenty to talk about
. Glad it went well :j

Just saved £30 on my car insurance renewal and so long as £co don't try and squirm I should get £40 cashback on top of that :j I saved £300 over the year and have paid £230 this morning so have transferred £70 from the account to my savings. I am going to keep my monthly saving the same for next year as you never know and hopefully I will have extra money to put somewhere next year too
We are currently looking at buying a new lawnmower which will cost £3 once we have used our nectar points, I guess I need to start building them up again now.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Bought a new mower this morning which is much lighter so I can do the garden when DH is not here. We also got a strimmer to make edging easier, so this afternoon we have finished cutting the grass and strimmed. We also swept the paths so everywhere looks so much better.
Washed the sheets this morning which are now dry and ready to go back on the bed. 2nd load of washing is out and will probably smell of BBQs by the time next door have finished. It is meant to be nice tomorrow too so I will put the darks on tonight ready for the morning.
Started on the dinner, sweet potatoes in the oven baking and will start cooking the steaks soon. Looking forward to a posh kind of dinner that really didn't cost anything at all.
Tomorrow we are planning on having a drive out for a bit but I might suggest being here for the grand prix and sort a few boxes at the same time.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I meet Mr AJMs son tonight :eek
We are planning on a motorbike ride this morning and back in time for lunch and formula 1, hoping to sort a box or 2 while we watch it and do my ironing. Also want to bake a Victoria sponge and a malt loaf.
Dinner today is roast lamb and all the trimmings. I am trying to use our frozen trimmings up and then make my own. Tempted to try my own grocery challenge like the one on the OS board although I will need to get Mr AJM on board if I want to do it properly.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Briefly met Mr AJMs son last night at a gig he was playing in Edinburgh. It was so noisy that we really only said hello although he did introduce me to his other band mates which is a good sign. Mr AJM managed to talk to him as they were sitting together. Felt quite guilty as we have taken Mr AJMs sports car over so only had 2 seats, we didn't know his son didn't drive and was getting the bus back, we were nearly home before he had got his bus. Next time we will take my sensible car. Mr AJM has said he's had a positive email from him so that will be interesting to read later. We still need to do the conversation thing and I am not sure how easy that will be, I have never expected it to be a quick things though so we shall see.

If only it only went one way, eh?
We went £20 up over 3 days, followed by £15 down in 1. Looking at the value is probably something that I should avoid, I'm not letting it affect my long term plan so why torture/excite myself?0 -

I do try to only look a couple of times a month as I know it is a marathon and not a sprint but when there are such good results it is far too tempting to keep checking.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Well the email is definitely very positive, I think there could be grounds for a friendship eventually especially as he is trying so hard. It makes me reconsider what my issues are and that I must seem quite childish but I think I am taking longer to get used to the new situation I am in, I guess Mr AJMs son had time to get his head around it before he got in touch. I am very grateful to his girlfriend as she seems very astute and is having a big impact on the situation. I have a very good impression of them after only a hello.
Anyway on other topics, our dinner was amazing and we finished it with meringues, mango pieces, ice cream and maple syrup. I am gradually working my way through the things that need using up in the cupboards.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
