Yes, to know it is already paid and we are not having to find the balance for a credit card or coming home from our holiday stressing about how to pay for it. We might not be mortgage free by my ideal date but at least I know we are budgetting for the things that make our life enjoyable.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

LOL - I'm with you on that, coming home to holiday washing is a pain but to come home to a massive CC bill for said holiday would be even worse!0 -
I seem to be wasting my month away, 12th I make a note of my mortgage total for MFiT, 28th is meter reading day, 31st for OPs and making a note of my mortgage for MFW 2013. I wish I could see a quicker change like some of you do although I think our monthly mortgage payments may be a lot larger than most. Oh well, in 16 and a half years I definately will not be here however that would mean no more OPs. My current OP schedule should see us mortgage free by Jan 2023.
Off with work for a few days from tomorrow and I am really not looking forward to the trip. I am also counting down the month as in 4 weeks my work-life balance should be tipping firmly to the life side.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I am enjoying doing nothing at the moment. I have signed up for Nectar canvass points this morning although it hasn't asked for my nectar number so I am assuming it has done it automatically. Need to go in the shower soon and stop being lazy.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Have updated my monthly MFiT total in my sig, I think eventually we should meet the challenge.
I am starting to think we are not using the best options with our money. I am waiting for my renewal for my car insurance to come through and then all annual things will have been dealt with until 2014. After that I am going to look at our savings and current accounts. Mr AJM is definately a bank/building society's best customer as he is far too loyal and I seem to have developed some of his tendencies. I think we have the best cash ISA rate which is good but I want to look into our credit cards and current accounts.
I need to stop talking and start doing, we haven't cleared any of the stuff in the house that I want to, nor have I listed any of it to sell so I need to make this my main priority so we can start making plans for the house. I also want to continue building up our savings pots so we can focus on the mortgage a bit more.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I have been doing a bit of theoretical research this afternoon into houses for sale in our county. We plan to stay here but have often said if the right property came up in the eastern part of our county then we might move, however we don't want to increase our mortgage it would have to be the same price or less. There is absolutely nothing on the market that would encourage me to move from here, especially as nothing would work for teaching from home. It will be even more important for us to pay the mortgage down as much as possible in the next 9 and a half years so I have a choice job wise when I leave my current job.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
