Another interval training session at the gym today which felt quite good.

Only £8 better off through the tax code change and the pay should also include a 1% payrise :( maybe it will show next month. It does look like I am paying less tax and I am sure nothing extra seems to have been taken out of my pay packet, maybe I need to look at my NI contributions. After seeing you all posting about this month's pay I was hopeful, don't know why I bothered now!

Booked our Egypt holiday yesterday :j

Had a day off exercising yesterday as the gym shut early and away with work at the moment so not back to it until Tuesday.

Passing the next 2 hours in my hotel room, have already deleted all my old emails, checked banking and caught up on surveys. Need to check adpoints next but never done it on kindle before. Should get back all my expenses for this trip by next weekend. Think I might be quite bored by the end of this trip!

Just made a small OP of £50, I was thinking of skipping it as it didn't make a difference to the OP calculator if I OPd it or not but then decided that wasn't the way to go about things and I can afford it. I should be back to £100 OPs for the rest of the year now.

According to my OP spreadsheet we should/could be MF by December 2023. The OPs I have put in are not huge but they should be manageable for us and allow us to build up our savings pots at the same time. I only need to shave off 15 months to get to the latest date I would like to be MF by on the larger mortgage. Then all we need to do is start on the smaller mortgage but by that point we should only have £15k left on it and I would be tempted to use savings to get rid of it depending on interest rates and the standard monthly payment.

If we were to OP £500 every month from now until September 2022 (the ideal MF date) then I would achieve my goal, however I quite like the idea of living too and we would have the mortgage down to just under £22k (total of £37k over both products) so it would be manageable. I am happy to plod along for now and see where my wages take us over the next few years. Whatever happens we should hopefully be MF in 128 months!!! At least that is 74 months early!!!!!!!!

Feeling very lazy today. I was going to go running today but I'm feeling a little run down and have a sore throat so am going to leave it until tomorrow. Need to decide what we are having for dinner and do some piano practice before my lesson later.

A couple of questions, firstly coin dozer...how does that game end? I seem to have all the pieces of the puzzle so I am no sure if it just keeps going after that or not. Secondly...candy crush. I stupidly started this game but I am not a fan of advertising my life on facebook, is this the only free way to unlock higher levels? If it is I may pack it in now and look for a new game.

£50 OP this morning from the "extra" monthly money I have found in one of our current accounts, aiming to make another £100 OP at the end of the month. We are going to be behind on the MFW challenge this year but I keep trying to tell myself that it doesn't matter, especially as I will be saving some extra into my ISA so really it is still offset against the balance. We should easily make the MTiT by the end of the 3 years though I think. Whatever I am doing I am still making sure that the bank gets less money from us in the long run. I would love a windfall from somewhere though

Went for a run yesterday morning. Need to go to the gym again this morning but got in from work at 2 this morning so will see how I feel as I am at work again for 1 this afternoon.

We are officially below £133k on the larger mortgage now and even adding the interest for the rest of the month we will still stay below :j Only 1 of the £50 OPs is showing on the account so far but with others and any others we make, we will get below £132k by the end of June. Breaking it down into these manageable chunks gives me mini goals and it feels great :D

Exercising has gone well for the last 2 days, now for 2 days off.

I banished myself to the spare room at some point through the night with a tickly cough. I like to keep the curtains open in here so have been woken up naturally by the weather to a lovely blue sky. When I am MF and possibly not working I would like to live doing this.

The plan for 1 day this weekend is to use historic Scotland/national trust for Scotland membership and go to a couple of properties, get a cheap lunch and go to an outlet for me to get some more fitness clothes (need to check prices online first). Not sure whether to go today but it will also be lovely to stay at home and sit in the conservatory.

Hope everyone else has nice weather too, happy bank holiday weekend x
