Quite nervous this morning but it's my fault, I should be more prepared. Will be leaving in 20 minutes and it starts in an hour, I will feel better once I am there.
Good thing with being in a hotel by myself...I have spent that last hour catching up on stuff for work. I am hoping by the time I get back Monday lunchtime I will have a lot done that I can copy across to the work computer. Should save me time there and allow me to relax a bit.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

My weekend went quite well, I would have liked it to go better but I guess that means I can always improve and never get complacent.
I have a really big inspection at work on Friday so will be glad when that is over.
I chatted to my boss earlier about my course and whilst talking he threw in some curveball comments that have left me in limbo. It all harks back to my lack of promotion last year that I wish people wouldn't feel me tidbits of information. He started by saying he didn't want to say too much because the inspection is the focus of the week and then proceeded to drop bits of information in. I am hoping he will explain himself by the end of the week as I really can't get my hopes up only to get them dashed again. What with the revelations from my boss, my busy work schedule and the introduction of Mr AJMs son I really don't know whether I am coming or going, I wish someone would give me a break.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

In 2 days time all the hassles/pressures of our inspection at work will be over and we will be letting our hair down
I was starting to try and do everything which is just not possible in the time frame I am left with so sorted my uniforms today (most important thing) have done most of the necessary paperwork and will finish 2 tiny bits tomorrow. I am just left with renaming lots of files, I am concentrating on the ones I have been working on and then work on the older files if I have time. I do not want to do anything work based when I leave work tomorrow night as the pressures on Friday need me to have a clear head.
The curveball from my boss seems to be building, in my favour but has left me quite uncertain. Some of you may remember me missing out on promotion last year and being quite down about it? Well it is report time at the moment, we don't see them until September and the outcome until November however a few people at work have been letting me know how mine is going (I daren't listen too much for fear of being let down again). It looks like I may be put on my promotion course without a promotion date which is unheard of. Rather than the 9 months notice everyone else has had I have had 3 unofficially (don't know if any when I truly find out), if it comes off I will be on the same course as the people who got promoted over me!!!! I am quite excited but I really will have my work cut out over the next few months just as I wanted to re-establish a good work-life balance, I just don't want to get my hopes dashed again.
On a better note, we will definately be under £132k for the larger mortgage next monthI am counting down the days until we get to the 129s

I can do no more in preparation for tomorrow now. I have refused to bring anything home to do, if it is not done and should have been then so be it. I can start with a better plan to get through everything from next week.
We are just over £1500 away from owning 20% of our house, so next month we go below £132k on our large mortgage and in August we should make the 20%. After these goals I will need to find some more to work towards. If I go on this course in September I will get extra money for a few months and although I will be away from home a lot I may be able to make it work financially.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Today is my first day off from work in a long time where I am not going near the place. Our inspection on Friday was ok but I could have played a lot better. No rest for the wicked though as I have a piano exam in 11 days so that is now my focus.
We have a friend staying with us until Friday, it is nice to have the company but it will be a relief when we are on our own again too. We normally go to bed quite early and it is taking its toll staying up chatting. Mr AJM cooked all weekend so I am cooking tonight, not sure what I am making yet but am heading to my favourite website next.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

We are having chinese pork for dinner tonight with homemade victoria sponge or malt loaf for dessert depending on what takes everyone's fancy. It is a new dish for me (courtesy of my favourite site) and possible something Mr AJM will turn his nose up at seeing as it soup based but I am hoping it will be a hit.
I also need to make up a lot of mint sauce today as the mint needs using up. I am planning on making it in ice cube trays, freezing it and bagging it so we can use it as and when required. This is also a first for me so we shall see how it goes.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
