Very confused, £251.30 was paid into my account yesterday and I have no idea where it has come from :wall:
Just found the source of the money...it was what I had OPd on my loan but they musn't have taken that into account when we paid the settlement figure so that has just gone onto the mortgage as I didn't expect to have it :jMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

£40 on its way back to me as I have realised that the travel insurance I had taken out through my bank account is actually really expensive. Need to price up joint cover for both of us now.
There are workmen in the house most of the day so I am going to spend most of it working out the cost of Christmas presents etc to discuss with DH later and hopefully buy online tonight.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Just ordered my first Christmas present, a microlight flying experience for DH. Not a cheap present but something he has said he wanted to try ages ago. £100 but with 15% cashback through £co, we set a £100 limit for each others presents which is good as I can now have fun seeing what I can get for £15.
Now I can get back to deciding for everyone else and working out where to get it from so we can maybe get started tonightMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

bored.com I hate the workmen being here as I feel I can't relax in my own home. I might nip up in a bit and see how far they are getting with ripping the tiles off the wall, the noise they are making is terrible but I guess they know what they are doing
Hoping they won't be too long as I could do with nipping into town before my piano lesson at 4, if not then I will have to go tomorrow or Friday.

Workmen are still here so haven't gone for my piano lesson or been to town to change my currency back and we also have nothing for dinner. I am sure that we have loads for dinner but I don't really know what to do with the food we do have. I think when I get home from my next trip and I am going to sit with the recipe books and my food inventory and try and plan meals for the rest of the month. It looks like Mr Ajmoney will be bringing something in for dinner.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Any news on the Barbour front?0

Not yet, I have spent the whole day sorting things for other people, I am hoping DH agrees to my suggestions so far. I may go and look now though, just for a bit of research you understand!MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Tilly has been a bad/good influence depending on how you look at it as I have just OPd £13.07 to take my mortgage down to £138,700. I have OPd £329.59 so far this month which doesn't include the £460 I would like to pay as a joint OP from Mr Ajmoney and I at the end of the month. He has no idea that I have paid this! I need to claim my expenses back tomorrow and change my money back to pounds so that by Tuesday I should have a true figure in my bank account.
Have decided to use the money from the regular savings account I am going to close to pay for Mr Ajs christmas present as it is roughly the same amount and I wouldn't have been using it anyway.
If I can do most of the Christmas shopping by Tuesday too then I can truly work out what we can OPMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I AM RAMBLING, DO NOT TAKE ANY OF THIS TOO SERIOUSLY, I JUST NEED TO GET SOME OF MY THOUGHTS DOWN ON PAPER!
I am starting to annoy myself with how addictive this is, I must make sure I keep most of my ramblings to here or DH will think I have gone mad.
So although all my OPs and our effort when we OP properly is to our larger mortgage we still have this smaller mortgage which I have been ignoring as the interest rate is so low. I have decided to work on a mortgage free date for now of September 2022 even though I would like to be MF by July 2021. A regular monthly OP of £490 a month to the larger mortgage would see us MF by the 2022 date.
We have savings that would more than wipe out our smaller mortgage but part of me feels I should be thinking about this mortgage too but I know it is stupid to think about OPing this, especially as if the interest rates start going up the larger mortgage will be hit quite hard, long before the smaller one as we are swallowed up by the Nationwide collar with this.
As I say, I am rambling so if I have bored anyone then I am sorry.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
