I feel a bit happier about the money situation today although as expected I didn't sleep at all well last night. We are working on a price for life insurance and then we should be able to work out mortgage OPs :D

Exciting news, I have just made our first OP of £28. £17.50 as our cleaner did not come today and that is what we would have paid her and some other money I have been storing when I was expecting to OP my loan. My plan is to stockpile my £co payments, any extras etc and OP them as and when, if I am lucky then I will be able to match the split in OPs that we will both be making. I think this month we will be able to put identical payments across so long as I get reimbursed for my US trip expenses before the end of the month. I am going to keep this first payment quiet for now while I watch the effect it has on interest, but we pay £15.20 a day so I have already paid for nearly 2 days :T

Hi ajmoney  just read your whole diary! We are quite close in estimated end date and o/s balance. My term ends on april 2022, although we may have to extend it if all does not go well.

Where are you off to for xmas this year?

:j:j I have a mortgage buddy. If we go with our planned OPs only then we would be MF in November 2022 but I am aiming for July 2021 (our 10th wedding anniversary) at least.

We are going to Seefeld in Austria skiing.

We've always thrown all the money in one big pot and then I sort it out for bills etc. I earned more than OH to start with then I earned £0 for a couple of months then I earn slightly less than him now and soon I'll be earning about half of what he does. Because of the way my job goes I'm glad we've done it like this but it just depends whatever works best for you and your OH.

Ooh your ski holiday sounds FAB!!! :D

This is getting too weird date twin, how about we keep each other going on our journey then! We may end up paying our mortgage off earlier but please don't let it phase you, we have a smaller one of £39k that needs to go too.
