Managed to do quite a long swim in the end so have now completed 69% of my challenge and have 10 days left to swim the rest.
Transferred £1.61 into my OP account today from a Quidco payment. Have decided not to OP anything else into the loan but keep it in the other account until I have seen the financial advisor on Wednesday. It looks like I have an even bigger payment coming from Quidco next week, all of a sudden the payments are coming through :jMFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

I had a brief moment of panic when I got home this afternoon to find my tax disc renewal note from the DVLA, I wondered how I had forgotten it was due and whether I had enough money for it after some account tidying I had done at the weekend. In the next breath I realised how stupid I was and had a smug smile on my face. Why?...I don't have to pay tax on my car :j
In other news, I have made 55p today from mobile check ins and am also expecting some cashback from Debenhams as I had lunch there and my card is registered for automatic cashback. I have also been to the hairdressers but that was budgetted for and not coming out of the amount to spend so I am going to think of that as a no spendI would have got slightly more cashback but one of the mobile check ins wasn't working.
We are off away tonight for 2 nights, seeing friends and family. We have already paid for the hotel so it will just be food spends until we are home. I will keep an eye out for some more check ins too.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Enjoy your weekend AJ and great news on the car tax...this is one of the reasons I chose little boy racer car rather than great big gas-guzzler;)
I really admire how money focussed you are.

Nice weekend so far, visited my nan this morning who I haven't seen for a year. Just got 4 more mobile check ins. In one shop, DH was looking at a shirt and said he would wait and buy online and his words "maybe I can get some cashback too", he is learning, I am so proud :j
Was looking forward to my cooked breakfast this morning but it was terrible. We spoke to the duty manager ad nothing was right and she gave us the breakfasts for free. We had decided to go somewhere else tomorrow but we have just come back to our room to find a voucher for both of us tomorrow. I would normally keep quiet but I'm glad we said something now.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Not too much money was spent yesterday and we had a lovely meal with friends which was fun. Just driving home today but via a farm shop foursome different bits for dinner.
Been using my phone for logging in but it isn't easy so looking forward to catching up on everyone's diaries when I get home.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Great news that your OH is learning!! It takes a while but they get there! I had a 2 night stay recently in 2 different hotels - the first, the staff were really rude and very unhelpful at breakfast and the second there was a problem with breakfast and a staff member was very difficult. Complained about both in the hope we'd get free breakfasts at both at the very least. Got one night free and both breakfasts. Really wasn't expecting a full room refund but I was glad I complained as the staff were awful. Complained about a room earlier in the year too and got the weakest reply ever back, not even an apology for the state of the room. I always think that if I have a problem I'd rather approach the hotel first than writing a bad review on Trip Advisor (i.e. give them a chance) - if I don't get a suitable outcome, the bad review goes on Trip Advisor!! If you aren't happy it is always worth saying so in a polite way. Good for you!0

We are home now, cheated on the way home and went out for some food so we didn't have to shop and cook but we figured we'd saved £32 on breakfasts so £23 on a meal was fine. Feeling very tired now so going to read through some diaries and work out how I am going to finish my swimming this week.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200

Mr ajmoney had just looked at quidco for the first time for his car insurance, £40 cashback so he is currently applying for that. I reminded him that if he signs up for the mobile app he can do the mobile check-ins, he is doing that next. I am so proud.
Financial advisor appointment is on Wednesday so I am looking forward to what that highlights. I am hoping it makes financial sense to use my S & S ISA to pay off my loan so that we can start OPing the mortgage this month. I have seen a couple of good suggestions on other people's threads and so am going to plan treats for different milestones.
Should be able to get the last of the mobile check-ins tomorrow.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
