And yet another person who has not read the thread properly:eek:
Can you please quote where i've said i only place orders taking advantage of glitches?
And further up the thread someone else has said its common practice for boots to cancel peoples accounts?
As for me buying items and taking them back............:(
Did you also miss the part where boots have actually stated i have done nothing ILLEGAL.

Crikey, you have got your knickers in a twist :p

I have my knickers in a twist? It's not me posting all over MSE complaining about not being able to buy 5 bottles of perfume.

If you did not gain anything from having an account, why the complaining? Surely you can get the same stuff at Tesco/Superdrug/Asda/Other?

None of us know why you have been banned but clearly Boots do not want you buying anything else from them. Are there any other MSE'rs being banned from buying from Boots online? No - which clearly indicates that while you have done nothing 'illegal' (and these are your words, not mine) Boots do not want you buy from their online store anymore.

Only you and Boots know what you have done. Of course, we only have your word that you have called them and they told you that. Call me cynical and all that!!

    Seriously..why are you this bothered?

get a grip, get over it and shop somewhere else

    I'm not that bothered:)
Boots have actually said they will look into it again. I've told them not to bother, i'l take my money elsewhere.
If people stopped making ridiculously judgemental statements then i would have stopped posting a while ago.
I was fuming when i first realised because i was gobsmacked that a company would actually refuse to take your money?!
I know i've done nothing like what ive been accused of by people on here.
I'm doing what anyone else would do who was getting bullied, sticking up for myself:)

Obviously it is possible that Boots have made a mistake.
Maybe two other people in the OP's street (same postcode) also ordered 5 bottles of this perfume each and Boots are assuming that it is all the same person.

If it were me, Pat, and I _really_ didn't know why I had been banned, if I really thought that I'd been a good customer for Boots, then I would want to find out what the issue is. But if you think you know why you've been banned then you can either tell us or not - it doesn't matter - but the chances are you've got the answer.

Pat - try not to think that everyone on this board was having a go at you. The op was just asking and it's quite possible they are puzzled why someone would buy 5 bottles of perfume, I don't think it's a criticism. I realise it is different when the shoe is on the other foot and sometimes when it's you're topic that it more difficult to take a step back.

What's so puzzling about it?! My first thought was 'she's trying to get the £25 worth of points' (or whatever it was), and then I thought 'or maybe she's getting them for Christmas presents'.
Then someone comes on later to make out that that's bad and they hope the recipients don't talk to each other and find out they all got the same. Hilarious! :rotfl:

OP is annoyed because Boots decided to ban her for continually shopping online offers.

If you want to vacuum up offers without being tracked, don't use websites, don't use loyalty cards and don't use debit cards. Simples.

It's not unusual for stores to limit offers, Lidl often limits them to 6 per customer and Ocado to 20 per customer, to name but two.

If you haven't read the T & C's and don't stick by them any store has the right to ban you and it's your own fault for getting banned.

But if Boots limit offers in their T&Cs, shouldn't their online system automatically block the buying of more?

I'd move on and find another source for by ebay selling....

That was a joke but that's how Boots may see your actions.

Of course! She's buying to sell on Ebay!
Cheap perfumes that are sold even cheaper by a very well-known store who advertise the fact.
She'd need to be getting a throughflow of pretty clueless customers...

Boots rang me back and said i had done nothing illegal but they were taking no more orders from me.
They could not tell me the reason why so i dont think complaining will do any good.
I think what you said about them still picking up payment details etc is right.
They have told me i can still order in store though which doesnt make a lot of sense to me?

That just sounds like absolutely rubbish customer service to me.
They say you've done nothing illegal but basically won't tell you the reason why they've banned you.
Which suggests to me that their reason is a bit dodgy otherwise they would just be transparent about it. ;)

They have given her a reason though, this is quoted from the other thread she is posting on:

Basically they said they are a domestic retailer. I take that to mean you should only buy what you need, not several.

So, for some reason they think she is not a domestic customer - so they must think she is a business customer.
