Banned from ordering @boots.com?

Basically this is a rant:mad:
Over the past few years i have spent £1000's on online orders at boots. Of course i have taken advantage of any offers and voucher codes given out.
Just tried to place an order this morning and got an 'error' message telling me to ring customer services.
Basically they have said they're not willing to take any more orders from me. No explaination.
I have spoken to a manager and said i want an explaination as to why they are unwilling to take more orders. If its because i've taken advantage of offers then why are the offers available:(
Currently waiting for a call back from them.
What would you do?

    Actual offers, or glitches?

If you stuck to the T&Cs, I can't see why they wouldn't be thrilled to keep you as a customer.

That said, they have the right to refuse service, so I'm not sure there is much you can do other than either trying to appeal to their better nature, or going elsewhere.

If you've purchased "£1,000's" of goods from them, they may have formed the view you are not a retail customer but a business buying in bulk to resell yourself elsewhere.

If what you are buying is medical products (rather than the other boots stuff like tissues and make-up) then there are restrictive trade practices regarding wholesale of medical products (the suppliers don't like it), so you may have fallen foul there as well or you may be simply ordering too many paracetemol and they think you want to top yourself.

it could be all sorts of things, your payment method, etc. I doubt it is becuase you use codes and vouchers alone.

Any trader can refuse a customer without explanation, althiugh it is not good practice to do so. I would hope that Boots does come back and explain to you why.
Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.

Offers and 'glitches'. If they're going to ban me from the site for using 'glitches' there will be a lot of people banned....
Do the terms and conditions include 'glitches'? I seriously doubt it.
I know they have the right to refuse service but im sure you can understand that i would like to know the reason why.

Well, only you know the history of your purchases, so you probably know the reason already.

But you have to understand that they don't need to tell you why at all, they can simply refuse your business.

I have spent that over the years. When i was working full time i used to do my xmas shopping on the site and get it delivered because it was easier.
Just carried on doing it for ease of getting items delivered and not having to drag home heavy bags.
I have purchased a variety of items, fragrance, skincare, make up, giftsets, toys etc.
I agree, not very good practise to basically just say we wont take any more orders.

    Very annoying for you!

Are you able to share with us just 1 of these glitches from the past, please?

When companies get wind that some people are finding freephone numbers or national numbers instead of their income generating expensive 0870's and 0844's...... they often close the number!

    Sky is a prime example!

Always check for a cheaper alternative number here: http://www.saynoto0870.com/

What i was ordering today was 5 reduced perfumes @ £8.79?
each with 500 extra points (which equates to £5) also on each.
Also a 60ml ojon shampoo @ £6 with a free gift worth more than the actual shampoo.
Nothing illegal, just offers on the website.
