    Boot T & C's on offers:

General Boots.com offer terms & conditions
    • All offers are subject to availability.
    • Availability while stocks last.
    • Boots reserves the right to limit certain offers to 1 order per customer as defined by their email address and/or credit card address and/or delivery address.
    • Offers are non-transferable
While maybe you think they should run their business as you think they should, perhaps they don't want to limit offer, because most people don't take the mickey with each offer.

They're not making a loss if most customers go on to buy x, y and z as well, which is their plan.

Then there's the problem that if you buy the offers in bulk you're not giving other customers opportunities to use boot's offer, so you're denying other boots customers the offers that boots would like.

The offers are intended to entice customers in the hope that they'll make impulse purchases to buy other things they might not. They're to draw you to the store or site and that's what the majority of customers do and it doesn't make boots a loss.

You are making a loss for boots, so therefore they probably don't want you as a customer. It's a bit like when shops give out free samples of food - should you take the whole plate and have a nosh up because they say it's free - of course not, but you could use your arguement to defend why you had eaten it all.

ps - I don't think you are an ordinary customer for boots.

Boots reserves the right to limit certain offers to one per customer.
Then they need to do that dont they?
And 5 perfumes and 1 shampoo is buying in bulk? lol
I'm just a very small fish.
P S - Get off your high horse and stop being so judgemental.
Im sure there are people who buy a lot more than i ever would.

Personally I want workers to earn a decent income so I don't go in for all this money saving at any cost thang because it is this that constanty drives down wages. People bemoan Marks not supplying British garments now, and yet these very same customers make buying choices based largely on value / price so of course everyone is forced into a race to the bottom.

Pat isn't there more to life than money saving? Forgive me if I've got you wrong, but it does seem like money might become your God.

It's all been explained to you by a number of people. Boots are not making money from you. They don't want your custom. They reserve the right to limit offers but they also reserve the right to "ban" you...

If you don't like it then find a loop hole..A new account has been suggested...

    The offers are there.

Yes, to attract customers into making purchase of both the items on offer AND other items.

I'm not responsible for putting them there.

You're responsible for abusing the offers.
    patwinning wrote: »
They are making a loss who ever buys them if you're looking at it from that point of view.

This is not rocket science! Customer who gets a good deal is likely to return or buy other products. I'm sure you've heard of the term "loss leader"? Don't insult the marketing world.

Nowhere does it state anything like 'offers strictly limited to one per customer.'

It doesn't have to. It sounds like the issue is with the fact that they NEVER make any money from you but they do for a high percentage of customers who not are abusing (however you look at it it's abuse in the same way that all those on the GIOL board abuse bookies!).

They should be looking at changing their policies instead of banning ordinary customers from shopping, surely?

You're not an ordinary customer. Ordinary customers make them money and are in the overall majority!

As someone who has abused bookmakers offers and made thousands I can accept that bookmakers ban those who take advantage of offers and provide them with no profit. I'm not sure why you can't accept this with Boots?

    Eh?

Where have I been judgemental exactly. I've given an explanation and an opinion. I run a business, so I'm looking at it from a business point of view.

You may have bought just 5 perfumes and 1 perfume, but you've also mentioned you've spent thousands with them over the years, if each of your purchases makes them a loss, then it's not good business sense to have you as a customer. That's not being judgemental - it's a fact that you might have cost them a big loss and a possible reason why they want to ban you - how am I getting on my high horse?

Now, this is me speculating and I don't actually know why boots have banned you, I'm certainly not bothered either way and they can chose to what T & C's they want as long as it's within the law.

All saints on this board, not a sinner amongst you righteous ones is there?
Anyone would think i'm a master criminal judging by some replies on here.
I'l leave you all to it.

Did I not demonstrate how I've made thousands from abusing offers? How can I be a saint?

Many people on MSE have taken advantage of offers through the information provided on this site (and the likes of HUKD). The difference is that they're able to accept that if they get caught then they may be banned.

As I said, open up another account and see how you get on but please accept Boots decision and understand the reasons for it.

They've offered reasons as to why it happened.
    You don't like the reasons.
Posters have explained further you still don't like it and you've been quite rude back to me anyway
You told me to get off my high horse and I had only explained why they might have banned you?
I've never spent thousands on purely offers from one site and I usually don't get any offer, cause they run out - I wonder why?

ps - have done wrong stuff in my life - but then I never said I hadn't.
