I know one company where, when you phone them, the computer works out how profitable a customer you are, based on your past transactions. Which is quite easy to do.. my mum spends a few hundred a year so it's believeable that you spent a few grand! I spent almost £100 last year and that was just on one little present for everyone in my family! Let alone buying a few!If I was Boots and you did this everytime you ordered, I wouldn't want to keep you as a customer. The offers are there, but if you do things like this everytime you order, or most of the time, they're making a loss, I would have thought, so if you've done this and spent thousands - it's quite possible they've lost thousands.
Now that's not your problem, but it is theirs and they are within their rights to stop you from doing this. Wouldn't you in their shoes?
