Companies are getting more sophisticated now that they have so much data about each customer in their databases. I know one company where, when you phone them, the computer works out how profitable a customer you are, based on your past transactions. The more profitable customers go to the front of the phone queue; the unprofitable ones go to the back. The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.0

I said over the years!
Which is quite easy to do.. my mum spends a few hundred a year so it's believeable that you spent a few grand! I spent almost £100 last year and that was just on one little present for everyone in my family! Let alone buying a few!If I was Boots and you did this everytime you ordered, I wouldn't want to keep you as a customer. The offers are there, but if you do things like this everytime you order, or most of the time, they're making a loss, I would have thought, so if you've done this and spent thousands - it's quite possible they've lost thousands.
Now that's not your problem, but it is theirs and they are within their rights to stop you from doing this. Wouldn't you in their shoes?
Yeah they may be making a loss on pat's orders.. but think of how many people dont look into offers and just buy? they wouldnt still be expanding like they are if they were making a loss from one lady taking advantage of offers and glitches.JimmyTheWig wrote: »Do you think Boots will make more money with you as a customer or without you as a customer?
shes still spending money in store.. so they're making more money with her as a customer!Out,_Vile_Jelly wrote: »Who needs 5 bottles of perfume?

People who then go on to sell them on Ebay, making a tidy profit out of Boots' offers“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Pat isn't there more to life than money saving? Forgive me if I've got you wrong, but it does seem like money might become your God.
I dont understand how you have come to that conclusion?
How can you possibly know that about someone who's just posted on a website? Why would you even want to think that of someone?:(
People like you make me laugh.
I care more about people than i EVER will about money.
How do you know i dont make hampers with some things i buy and give them to charity, to raise money for good causes?
You dont know anything about me, nor me you, thank god:pYour greatness is measured by your kindness; your education and intellect by your modesty; your ignorance is betrayed by your suspicions and prejudices, and your real caliber is measured by the consideration and tolerance you have for others.
