    i've had 7 sales and 2 cancelled.

strange that the 2 cancelled sales are both for the same book, purchased on 17th May and 21st May.

i can only guess that both people bought it then found it cheaper elsewhere, so cancelled before i even knew they had bought it

I think it's probably the same person trying to buy the same book. I had it happen when a buyer hadn't got her card details in correctly, the order cancelled out and she contacted me whilst it was still pending to say could I try the card again. I explained that she had to go on to the Play website and place the order again. 2nd time it went through okay for her.

Does anyone know how our buyers leave us feedback? I haven't purchased anything from a playtrade member yet so no idea how it works, and my customer is asking me how it is done!

    Thanks in advance

    Kat x

p.s how is everyone's play sales? Mine are going quite well, sold 22 last month.

  • Hi Kat

Lucky you to have a customer wanting to leave feedback.

It's dead easy on Play. They need to log in and go to 'order history', then they will see a big green button under 'status', the button has 'Leave Feedback' written on it.

Sales have been good for me too, 62 in the past 30 days.

Does anybody know of an email address to contact "sellers support" at play.com - I've sold a CD and 3 days later I'm still waiting for the dispatch email !!
I can't for the life of me find any email addresses to contact [nor even a link from my seller account].

Hope you got that sorted! How did you know you'd sold it without an email to advise of this though? Possibly email has been caught by spam filter?

not sure of an email address but a phone number is 0845 800 1020

Was on the phone to them this morning about another unrelated matter, which they're looking into but maybe MSE people should watch out for. My listings are only available for UK sale, though I select this manually with each listing. I had a sale recently to Gibraltar that seems to have slipped through this system as Play seemed to allow it as the payment was in £GB rather than euros! They're currently looking into this and am awaiting them getting back to me,just thought I'd let peeps know to keep an eye out for this and ask if anyone else had this happen to them?

I had this happen to me recently, I picked up the sale from the link within the site that takes you to your sales - from where you confirm despatch.

Confused the hell out of me when a few days later the email arrived - I panicked thinking 'oh no, I've already sold that!!!' - yes I had and that was the sale - if you see what I mean.

Hmm so their email notification of sales is a bit up the swanny!

Just received a call back from play and according to them Gibraltar is classed as within the uk so if you only have your listings set as to be dispatched to the UK only, you could still get orders from Gibraltar and have to fork out for the extra postage charges to send it internationally! It's likely that this may be the case for any international dependency too! Nice man at play is taking this up with the tech & policy teams and has said he will get back to me!

The other thing that came out of this conversation is that play will not remove any negative feedback for whatever reason, even if I get some for this which they are admitting is partly there fault. Am currently threatening to withdraw my listings from play as a result. I'm hoping the customer will be sympathetic and not give negative feedback though!

Thanks for the replies ...... usually log in every couple of days just to check listings etc and noticed the sale by chance ..... still no email and not a spam problem as I checked ...... not good news about feedback removal:(

still only 1 feedback from 19 sales. Expected to get another feedback yesterday as buyer received their order with 2 hours of placing it. They lived just off my route to tesco and order arrived just before the regular sunday shopping trip!

Have yet to have any response from them in regard to Gibraltar being within the UK for postal purposes, but will update here when I do. If I don't heard from them today I will be phoning them tomorrow!

Am sure it is in here somewhere, but is it possible to add a book to Play listings? Presumably only pro sellers can do it? I got 4 books in the same series - two are listed and two aren't!
