Ooh an official Play thread!
Back of my hols now, glad people are selling well on play. I did a bulk upload at the weekend, but loads didn't work because the isbn isn't in their database but I do have 790 listings now.
I have sold 30 items in about a month with most of that month having only 300-400 listings. I am happy and will continue my pro-trader subscription.
I've also received 2 positive feedbacks, altho only because I emailed asking for feedback.

I've edited the link in the original post as it was redirecting to a totally unrelated website.
The new link should take you to the FAQs for Playtrade.

yippee just had someone purchase a dvd i had stuck on there. Not many sellers on play so less competion than amazon = better price
slightly better on the fees as well. I will use the credit i get to buy on play as i dint' like the 5% cost of putting it in my bank account.

I'm feeling a bit frustrated. I've just had my very first feedback on PlayTrade - for my first item I sold. It took the buyer nearly 2 months (just before ir timed out) to leave it and they only left a neutral.
AARRGH.
They say the book was too expensive for the condition it was in - well it was priced alot cheaper than the Pay.Com price and was described as 'good' with a full description (which I don't suppose he even read). The really annoying thing is that on Amazon I had this book listed as 'very good' and I have been rather underlisting conditionwise on Play as they sound a bit stricter on condition.
There doesn't seem to be a right to reply on Play either so I am stuck on 0% feedback rating now. Still I have only sold 2 items and don't really expect to shift very many through Play anyway.
Ah well - moan over.
Best wished to all other sellers!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
Hi Numberthree
That is rather harsh.
I've seen it a few times when looking at other peoples feedback.
The problem I think is that Play buyers are only used to buying new items - they are definitely not all Ebayers or Amazon buyers as they are prepared to pay higher prices than they would if they went to those sites.
I've still only got 3 feedback out of more than 100 sales, I actually dread the thought of getting any more feedback because I think it will be bad based on what I have read for other sellers.
If I sell a book other than new or like new I make up a packing slip that includes the detailed description - in the hope that it will ward off any negatives.
Have a virtual hug - and lots of sales to make you feel better.

so far 2 sales and no feedback. still waiting to get access to my funds - i didn;t add a bank account as i wanted to use the funds at play, but you MUST add a bank account and then wait 21 days to get the money either way.
Oh well, waiting for feedback now.0 -
i've had 7 sales and 2 cancelled.
strange that the 2 cancelled sales are both for the same book, purchased on 17th May and 21st May.
i can only guess that both people bought it then found it cheaper elsewhere, so cancelled before i even knew they had bought it0
