woohoo, I have just sold my first book on Play. I have had the book for sale of amazon for months and had just taken it off as the price had gone so low it wasent worth listing as it was a big heavy book. I have just made £10.50 less postage so I reckon about £6.00 for me. Not bad for something I had given to me as a gift.

    Thanks everyone for this thread.

  • How's everyone getting on in the scarey world of play.com?

I've sold 21 books since I started at the begining of April and have just got my first feedback, funnily enough from a book I posted only 2 days ago to Malta - well done Royal Mail :T

    Any news Rupert?

    Well Done Monkey!

After a period of no sales at all I sold 2 of the same item yesterday at a higher price than the same on amazon! :)

Though still haven't got round to doing a bulk upload! (makes mental note to at least try a bulk upload before cancelling subscription)

You must be quite near to the end of your first month's subscription. Go for it and do a bulk upload to get more of your stock visible, otherwise if you cancel you will be left wondering 'I wonder if ....'

If you do get stuck I can try and help.

Have you signed up as a paid subscriber? £19.99 a month, though you gain by not paying the 50p an item fees, but only if you sell more than 40 in a month!
If so, you'll need the spreadsheet templates which I can email you if you pm me, and I imagine FFM would also do so. Though they certainly have had more luck than me!

    Hi

Go to your 'listings' and then scroll down to the item in question and click on the 'close listing' option. Then relist for the correct version.

I have sold three books on play, one of them I was just about to give up on and ended up getting a really good price on play. The other two were penny best sellers on amazon (dan brown) but they were in excellent condition so I put them on play and got a good price. Very happy with them.
