Telephoned both Nectar and Amex and still don't have my final 1000 points.
The lady at Nectar even sounded suprised as though she'd never heard of this happening before. :mad::mad:
I contacted Amex last week to cancel the card as the promised final 1000 points had still not been credited. After explaining the situation to the cancellations Dept they assured me that they would address the matter within 7 days. Today they credited the final 1000 points and a bonus 2000 points as a good will gesture.0 -
Persistence finally paid off for me. Rang AMEX and got a very helpful (and apologetic) assistant who promised to sort out this "unacceptable" situation asap - got my point credited within 5 days.0

I still have 4000 points outstanding from nectar. have used up alot of time telephoning nectar and american express for missing 4000 points after taking out a American express credit card in march (the offer was 600 nectar points, worth 30 quid). a lady telephoned me, and said Nectar are not wanting to pay the 4000 points, but american express will. She also awarded me with an addittional 1000 points as a good will gesture, which should be credited to my nectar account on 15th August 07 (five months after the adsvertised promotional advertisment). Dispite lots of apology, and a suggestion that nectar may award addittional points as a good will, i will be repaying my 53p outstanding balance and canceling my american express card. Seems like this has been a true fast.Trinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0

I have now been waiting over 7 MONTHS for my missing 5000 points despite countless phone calls and e-mails and on that basis I claim the record for having been messed about the longest of all by Nectar and American Express. What complete and utter rubbish these two companies are.
Thankfully they are not in the secondhand car business.0
