Mine was removed late spring as a service. They wrote to me in early spring saying if i did not use the line within 2 months or so it would be removed - and it was! Never used it anyway (never used my livebox with the phone port) but another miss selling act, as it formed part of my deal.0 -

It was a livebox but after the speed issues discussed previously they supplied him with a netgear router, and after that was a pile of junk also they supplied a brightbox within a week of them being released.0 -
I have received a letter from Orange today about Orange BB soon changing to EE BB. I am on the £5 unlimited package with the 2nd line Livebox and free calls to 100 international countries.
The letter does not mention taking the landline from Orange. "The price and plan won't change".
I don't currently have an Orange mobile.0 -
Hi - just wanted to run something past you?
Had an orange mobile contract with free broadband for over 5 years. Just phoned them to find out what costs would now be involved and they said:
18 month contract
free broadband
£11.50 line rental for first 3 months
£14 line rental for remaining 15 months
prices inclusive of VAT
opt-out cost of 70% of remainder of contract if we decide to go elsewhere in the future.
free replacement router
Does that sound similar to what anyone else has been offered, and do you know of any catches or hidden issues?
thanks in advance

It is the same as we have been 'offered'...........can't comment on buying out of contract or router........not inquired.
Issues for me, to retain the same service that I currently have (inclusive evening and weekend calls) will cost £18.50, same as advertised on their website.
https://broadband.orange.co.uk/home
£13.50 line rental (which includes evening and weekend calls) + £5.00 half price BB
12 Month Contract
Which means the BB is not free0 -
I cant seem to find this page.. Oranges page just looks normal no messages.
I am not into Twittering, or even Facebooking for that matter, although my offspring are into this stuff.
I have gleaned that Orange and the sorry 'Free for life BB' saga, has gone absolutely viral on Twitter, perhaps herein lies the confusion with Facebook.
If Orange truly thought they could get away with their slight of hand, they must believe their customers are a bunch of plebs and morons ! :rotfl:0 -
I have contacted Orange on a number of occassions over the last 10 days and you speak to the Executive Office and they say it is nothing to do with them and tell you to contact Mobile Department. When you speak to Mobile they tell you that you need to speak to Exectuive Office. Still waiting for a call back from Friday evening. They even told me that they were on Watchdog 19/09/2012 saying that they have done nothing wrong but watched the programme and rewatched it and they mentioned nothing about Orange. They are just a bunch of liars.
I have received an email from Neil Wilson Executive Office and he just tells you to contact the specialist team.
They are just playing delaying tactics and nothing gets resolved.
I only renewed my contract just over a month ago and said do I still get my free broadband and was told yes. They are total underhand in the way that they are treating their customers and I just want everything cancelled and nothing to do with the Company. Have been a customer for 15+ years.
I have written to Watchdog, OFCOM, CISAS and Citizens Advice and they still do nothing. I am not going to give up until I released from contract as they have mis-sold it.0 -
But.........
£11.50 x 3 months, plus £14 x 15 months = £244.50 WITH broadband, no calls.
OR
£13.50 x 18 months = £243.00 WITHOUT broadband, no calls.
It's close enough to free for me!
(pulls out grenade pin and runs:p)
I currently pay BT £14.60 for line rental and inclusive evening and weekend calls + free BB with mobile contract.
With Orange I will have to pay £18.50 for the same service ( as advertised.)
Their 'exclusive offer just for me' is £14.00 line rental + BB
So........where is my 'free' BB?
Oh yeah and I can have a 12 month contract and a £40 M&S voucher too in the advertisement0
