Please keep signing, there are 176 signatures to date,so just the rest of the 89,824 unhappy EE customers to find!!!! Please post this link onto any social site you are a member of,or your entire email address list would do!0 -
Site won't let me post links, but if you google Phillip Schofield and the Prime Minister, you will see that OFCOM are not totally spineless.
It's good to see they will consider an investigation after as little as 100 complaints...as long as the PM is involved, obviously.0 -
Here are some civil laws that are worth knowing about:
Unfair Contract Terms Act
The Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977 and the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contract Regulations 1999 allow consumers to challenge terms in any contract they've signed or entered into if a term seems unfair or unreasonable. They are particularly helpful when trying to avoid the impact of exemption clause- clauses that try to take away your consumer rights.:T
JUST REMEMBER ORANGE/EE WE ARE WATCHING YOU CLOSELY!!! I HAVE CONTACTED A PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATE TO ADVISE ON HOW TO TAKE THESE COMPLAINTS FORWARD. WILL POST AN UPDATE AS AND WHEN I GET THE RELEVANT DETAILS. :grouphug:
ALWAYS GET AN OFCOM REFERENCE NUMBER TO ENSURE ORANGE ARE HELD TO ACCOUNT FOR THEIR DECEITFUL WAYS.
THEY WILL BE BROUGHT TO ACCOUNT :kisses:0 -
I have just called Orange on 0800 9801716 I told them I wanted my broadband extending until the end of my mobile contract (2 year contract 12 months left on it) I didn't need any reference numbers but I told them I'd spoken to Ofcom (who told me to call the above number) and that when I'd renewed my contract I did so because of the free broadband continuing (I checked this when I took out the contract). The girl I spoke to took my details- land line number- mobile number and an email address (not my orange one as I can't seem to access it today!) They sent me an email straight away confirming my broadband will continue until my mobile contract ends. I didn't expect it to be quite so easy! Hope this helps anyone who is in the same position.
Went around the world of Orange last week. The had contacted me about the live box and the 'line' for making calls. Had problems with the internet so stopped using 'Live box' and went over to using Netgear as Orange would not, could not, sort out the live box. Asked about broadband charges, was passed to three other teams within orange - no definitive answer as to when l would be 'cut off'. One answer was that there was no cut off date for my broadband account, then another response was that it would be in line with my email received date. In that call I told them I was not leaving BT telephone service and I did not see why l had to move my line e.t.c. mobile linked to broadband supply.... e.t.c.
Going to don the 'here we go round the mulburry bush' hat and give them a call and request the same consideration.
Thanks.0 -

6 months € 10.59 € -2.26-21.31%
1 year € 12.49 € -4.16-33.28%
The reason they are trying to squeeze money out of us is due to the fact their share prices are'nt good!!! But with all the complaints it will only get worse. SELL YOUR SHARES NOW!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
THE PRICE HAS GONE FROM 12.49 WAY DOWN TO 8.60 EUROS IN 1 YEAR. PRETTY POOR PERFORMANCE ESPECIALLY SINCE THE ROLLOUT OF 4G AND THE LAUNCH OF eNOUGH'S eNOUGH!!!
France Telecom reduced its net debt to EUR31.18 billion at the end of June 2012, but Orange UK's £'s = prizes in EURO's of less debt. The £ is what is paying the whole FT groups debt s off due to the exchange rates £vEuro.
A decade later Orange UK officially has become FT's cash cow, we customers can all see & feel it.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Freedom of Information: Right to know request
Thank you for your request for information regarding how many complaints Ofcom has received on Orange withdrawing free broadband. We received your request on 5 November 2012 and have considered it under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (‘the Act’). I am writing to advise you that Ofcom cannot disclose the information you requested.
Section 44 of the Act prevents organisations releasing information if another act has said that it shouldn’t, such an act is the Communications Act 2003. So that Ofcom can operate effectively it needs to be able to handle and share confidential correspondence with the businesses it regulates. If Ofcom was to make all this correspondence public it would undermine the confidence that regulated industries have that they can be frank and candid without the fear that these views will be published. Section 393 of the Communications Act anticipated this and prevents Ofcom releasing information if the information is about a particular business, unless it helps Ofcom to carry out its duties.
For further information on section 44 of the Act, please see: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2000/36/section/44.
It is likely that other exemptions will apply.
With regard to your second and third requests under FOI (1-220381581 and 1-220978971), these are currently being considered and I will contact you again with our response.
Am forwarding to Information Commissioners Office for clarification.
So it appears that if we humble folk were to have access to information such as the number of complaints, this would inhibt Telecoms companies from telling the truth??????
Maybe I read it wrong???SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

France Telecom's debts will get worse, bought another 4 T-Mobile payg sims ALL will not register to either T-Mobile/Orange networks.
Seems the EE name/handset change signal roll out has barred new T-Mobile payg sims registering with the EE network, you just couldnt even make it up could you LOLSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... Complain about getting information
If you have a complaint about getting information – whether it’s information about you or information you’ve asked for from a public body, the questions on the next few pages will help us determine how best we can help you.
How do I know if my complaint is about getting information?
You should follow the advice on these pages if any of the following apply to you:- You have asked for official information from a public authority, and the organisation has not responded, has only given you some of the information, or has told you it won’t provide the information.
Before you complain to us
First, write to the organisation concerned and give it an opportunity to put things right. Many problems can be solved quickly without us getting involved. You can call our helpline on 0303 123 1113 for advice to help you to solve the problem.
What happens if I cannot solve the problem myself?
If you have contacted the organisation about the problem but have been unable to solve it, we may be able to help.
What can I expect?
If necessary, we will look into your complaint. If we think the law has been broken, we can give the organisation advice and ask it to solve the problem. In the most serious cases we can order it to do so.
Nick has already gone down this route and hit a brick wall. (TEMPORARILY)
Will see what the parliamentary candidate will suggest now. TRANSPARANCY!!!!!?????:huh::huh::huh:0 -
I have today filed papers at Northampton for compensation to cover my new BT broadband service for the remainder of my Orange contract. I will report back on the outcome
There was no offer of settling for the alternative BB costs, however, so you may well need to compare which is the better offer for you, and aim for that - or see them in court. If I can help with copies of my correspondence, please PM me.
