Orange 'Free' Broadband

I am on Plusnet now, but can still access my wanadoo account with the same login details, this is very odd! What are they playing at?
I moved to Talk Talk and can still access my old Orange account. When I requested my MAC Code Orange said they would e-mail to confirm my account was closed but I'm still waiting on that e-mail. Doesn't surprise me - they sent me an e-mail last week reminding me to phone them to take advantage of their great offers despite the fact that I had phoned them 3 times and told them exactly what I thought about them and their "great offers".
Think I may have to phone them again and get them to close my account - I get the impression that their IT systems and staff are not up to the job.0 -
Hi jezster
Well said! I think this forum demonstrates just how much can be achieved by adhering to decent principles, and fighting ,collectively, for what is right.
We can all gain strength from each other, and provide ideas and inspiration,to send out the message that this lying, injustice is not going to win the day
Look out Orange / Enough's Enough, you have unleashed a multitude of fighters and they are getting stronger as this saga unfolds.0 -

Even though I have got my resolution that I wanted (apart from the compensation), I dont want to just cut and run and leave the forum, as if others who had resolutions had done that I dont think I would have got this.
Thanks all.:)
I think our next big concerted mission would be to gather signatures on our petition. To spread the word about it. Let's create a tsunami which should sweep most if not all the consumer-related malpractices. Now it is not only about the Orange, it is about Ofcom too. The Orange phenomenon shouldn't have existed or, once appeared, should have been nipped in the bud. It did not happen unfortunately. So let's aim higher to eradicate the Orange phenomenon. Parliament? Why not!0 -
RE: THE PETITION ON change.org.
For anyone worried about leaving their personal details on the site in order to sign please be reassured they will NOT be passed onto any 3rd parties. It is a neccessary requirement of ALL petitions that along with your signature you must give verified personal details otherwise anyone can keep signing under any name like M.Mouse. If you have ever signed any kind of petition locally you know you have to add your personal details in order to legitimise the petition.
Please see below the privacy policy of change.org taken from their website. The petition is going to be tweaked tomorrow to include more relevant information for signatories. Please DON'T STOP SIGNING. We have 133 so far but need a lot more for it to make any impression on the powers that be! iT NEEDS TO FOUND BEYOND THIS FORUM FOR IT TO SUCCEED!

How we fund Change.org
We fund our free global empowerment platform by accepting advertising in the form of sponsored petitions, similar to sponsored videos on YouTube, sponsored links on Google, or sponsored tweets on Twitter.
Here's how it works: after you sign petitions on Change.org you will sometimes be presented with petitions marked as "sponsored":
If you choose to sign a sponsored petition, a check-box lets you choose whether to hear more from the sponsoring organization:
If you sign the sponsored petition with the box checked, the sponsoring organization will have the ability to email you directly for further action. This is a form of "cost-per-action" advertising, which is common among online platforms.
Newbies please sign up, THAK YOU!

A great idea, collectively we have a greater voice &"The pen is mightier than the sword" we should all stand up & be counted, that includes the people who are viewing this thread, but who have not for their own reasons joined the thread, we should all "shout from the rooftops our dissatisfaction with any company that reneges on offers or contracts to induce us to buy.0 -

Keeping chipping away at Ofcom.
This one just gone, will keep all posted.
Many thanks for the reply to my Freedom Of Information (FOI) request, your ref 1-219350478.
I look forward to the reply to the second FOI request, your ref 1-220381581, due 20th November 2012.
So we do not drag this out as an exercise in guessing semantics please accept this email as a third FOI request for audio recordings, transcripts, page notes, file notes, diary notes and other method used by Ofcom in recording the interactions between Ofcom and Orange with regards the issue of Orange’s withdrawal of free broadband for its mobile customers.
In the multiple communications we have had with in respect of the above issue, Ofcom have described their inter action with Orange variously as; verbal communications, engagement, discussions, and being advised by Orange on certain points.
I presume as a public body that needs to account for itself, regardless of the terms used above, that there is some form of recording of these events.
Now this recording of the information maybe audio, email, letter etc. I do not know how you keep note of these interactions.
What I do know, is that the basis of my FOI request is that I and the group I represent wish to see these interactions in whatever form they exist.
So this can run smoothly, and to avoid Ofcom giving the impression that they may be being awkward, please ring me on the number below, should you seek further clarity.
A simple and fourth FOI request is that I would like to know the number of complaints that Ofcom had regarding the issue in question.0 -

I never worried about leaving my personal details. In fact, it is one of the main requirements when signing a group letter or petition, just to show that there is a real person behind it. So I don't have any problem with it. Nor do I have any problems with the site's policy regarding users' data protection, as it clearly says "we will never share your information without your permission".
So keep signing!0
