As the post above, WELL DONE you guys on 5 Live Radio.

Lets all remember it.s not the length of air time that counts, or indeed the content, BUT the fact that many more Orange users will of heard the interview. And now hopefully being given that litte extra confidence not lay down and be bullied into taking Orange landlines. So all you people getting those letters to switch landline and don,t fanncy it, follow EVA49 list of what to do next.
Again well done the pair of you:T:T:T:T
    Kind Regards
  • I am pretty sure they were non too pleased at having the Daily Mail's statistic mentioned on air,of a possible 90,000 customers affected by their decision. Its a shame there was no time to mention the petition, but don't stop signing, we only need another 22 supporters to activate it and send it to Ofcom, who incidentally managed to get off scott free in that discussion.Tut Tut.

Come on guys, we need more people to sign the petition.

Thought the debate was rushed by the presenter and not enough support from the guy from Moneysupermarket, seems they are all careful not to upset Orange. Well done anyway, at least more people are now aware of the situation.
  • We recieved the same badly written letter and equally irritating email threatening in August to remove our broadband if we refused to sign up for line rental(and local calls?, I never checked). After calls, letters, emails to customer cervices then the exec office then registering my complaint with ofcom, I received a call the day before my termination date from their team. She offered to investigate and reply in 5 days. I took this back to ofcom who had sent me a conciliatory note hoping orange were dealing with my complaint sympathetically.
I also asked politely for both my relocation codes, mobile and broadband, indicating I would only use them if they cut off my service and went into contractual default. Whilst I did not get the mobile codes, it seemed to register.

I received a call yesterday offering to pay us a token £28 quid compensation and to not change the terms of their service.
YIPPEE, still got my erratic, freeserve, broadband with my mobile until this contract expires in 2014.
  • It appears that you not even talk to customer services now. Last night my wife who is the account holder rang Orange to register me as a third party on the account. I have tried to talk to them today but because there is no record of a person at the other end making a note to this fact nobody at customer services will talk to me. no answers, to emails, no answers to letters and no return phone calls as promised. After over 10 yrears custom it appears that we are now non customers.

Well the saga continues with me.
Was told last time i spoke to the exec team that they would call me back within 2 weeks, two weeks up today. So called them back and spoke to someone else who said that he had no details of me and I wasn't on 'the list'. So he put me on the list and the people from the outbound team will phone me within 48 hours, and I am to phone the person at the exec office tomorrow afternoon/evening if i dont get a call.

The amount of hours I have spent on this, if i was getting my normal wage would be a ridiculous figure. Ahhh!!

    Rant over.
