  • As of tomorrow, the ruling will be in effect. I told one customer today to call back tomorrow and tell the agent what he told me so that he will be dealt with by a supervisor to a satisfactory standard (based on Ofcom's ruling).

It's not getting out of mobile contract though as someone mentioned. It's two separate parts of the business so if that is happening too, it's unrelated.

e: and I'd still like to have seen my name as apparently some others have been mentioned! I've not been bad to any customer so I would have surely got a glowing review despite what Orange are doing lol

I cleaned up my post a bit.

Sorry I can't go into specifics but I'm sure you'll all know soon enough. I feel bad for what I've told some people, but I was only telling them what I had also been told.
So Orange informed your company to lie to customers ! WOW theres an admission....thanks MrRightsA

May we ask what you had been told ?

PS) I see a possible class action from customers misled to take Orange Line Rental. That or reversals, apologies and compensation, they might end up with another £80 million broadband loss, but the price of damage to Orange Broadbvand and the NEW EE brand of broadband is PRICELESS !!

For forced line rental there is Orange, for everthing everywhere else there is MASTERCONSUMERS ! ;)

    :D

Why? Ofcom has only JUST ruled this way. So it wasn't lies at the time. Or at least I've never lied to a customer. Only went off what I was told about.

It was, Ofcom were lied to from Orange, Orange told Ofcom customers could leave FREE at no detriment, a mobile phone without FREE broadband was detrimental.

We are not blaming you or collegues big man, we blame Orange/EE for lying to Ofcom, us & your company in Glasgow.

Pat on the back to you MrRightsA, you are the BIG man in this by coming here & posting, Orange & Ofcom know of this thread, Orange has official reps on MSE, the Orange reps ran off from MSE when this thread asked too many legal questions ;)

MrRightSA - re material detriment deals done to switch - when should the agreed credits and buy out amounts be applied to the accounts.

Is there a certain delay ? Are they honest agreements made ?

I have seen no credits in 21 days!

Ofcom ruling - what, continue free broadband haha :rotfl:

Probably is fitz, reinstate customers mislead & compansate all them, of course EE will use this as a public relations tool for the EE launch on 30th, "with EE customer service is our number one priority just ask our old Orange Broadband customers who are now part of the EE broadband family" LOL

Its spent millions on building up Orange Broadband in 2 years, spent mega millions on the EE store refit starting on Friday for the 30th launch, really blanket FREE broadband removal was just suicidal.

I take it you are not part of the Orange team - but - the 'Outbound/Outsourced Team' based in Glasgow and as such you were directed by Orange to address the material detriment aspect of their Business Decision and so lighten the workload of the Executive office

IE those you could not appease would be re-directed back to the Exec Office?

I do not think names have been mentioned on this forum - apart from christian names occasionally - and it would be bad practice to post someones full name.

I guess you were given a remit and worked for the BB team and that was your criteria?
With no access or knowledge on Mobile Accounts?

I look forward to tomorrows revelation in anticipation and can only reiterate I hope it is for all customers across the board and not just for those who have been forced to jump through hoops!

Have you been sent the contract buyout email? If not, call us back up and give us your email address. I don't remember the email address to send it to off hand (as we aren't allowed to take ANY paper home with us incase we are taking bank details obviously).

As for credits outwith that, I believe it's just credited to your mobile bill the following month. If you have no note on your bill then you might want to call up and tell them.

Sorry I can't be any more specific than that with the dates.

Yeah the Glasgow team exclusively set up to handle the "free and £5" customers.
