Orange 'Free' Broadband

dont think you have grasped what people are saying,
most have taken new mobile phone contracts because it included home broad band. (listed as free but you pay for it somewhere).
and what is most annoying is the fact they wont let you cancel existing contracts without penalty. or let contracts run till end date with the BB.
was quite happy with my contract ,and if they had said sorry but when your contract is out you will no longer be able to renew and get home BB included. that would have been fair enough, but to change only 6 months into contract . dosnt seem right. you should at least be able to cancel existing contract.beelzecubz wrote: »The fact is, Orange CS would not have told the poster this as it's complete and utter organic fertiliser.0 -

I hope we can all take your word on that :TSMA 4000TL Inverter, 17 REC 235PE Panels, South facing, roof angle \ `ish, 3995 watt system.Installed Nov 2011.0 -
On their website, landline is £13.50 not £14 x 12 months = £162

I have my landline with BT but pay £5.11 for BB with Orange, I originally got the free broadband, but paid the extra £5 for unlimited BB. I no longer have a monthly contract with Orange, but do have PAYG Orange sim, but don't use it. I do use the VOIP 2nd line, so will not be happy when it goes.
My Account details are Broadband Unlimited - with your Orange phone - £5.11 a month, up to 8 Meg speed, Livebox wireless modem, Talk service and unlimited use (fair use policy applies)
I have not received any email or letter, so don't know if I will get one.
What about TalkTalk £3.25 = £39 Unlimited BB 12 months Line rental in advance £9.50 = £153 - £60.60 TCB = £92.40 = £7.70 month + £25 Voucher0 -

He hasn't actually but I doubt you have read all the posts. But we all agree that Orange have def not got this right.
Personally I like it when a company makes a foul up, I normally get a much better outcome.
Suggest people go through the proper channels like Eva49, you have to let any company try to help/resolve before going further.
I wonder how many people on here will really do anything about it and if we hear what outcome they obtained.0 -

The Wiki site has been updated re the Orange livebox.0 -
good example for this is when three withdrew Skype, they got away with it. Also three offer tethering and 2000 3-3 minutes at the moment, renew and you don't but they don't tell you.
All providers are as bad, but remember orange coverage is better than voda/ three/ o2Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0 -
Brill about the 2nd line, so we can keep it until the Livebox dies!0

Please could someone who has a letter from orange with the :mad:badly written first statement  turn it over and read the small print which everyone seems not to have noticed that to qualify for the free broadband when taking out landline your monthly MOBILE CONTRACT MUST BE A MINIMUM OF £25 PER MONTH.
So if your mobile is PAYG you lose and if it is Monthly contract and less than £25 you will not qualify so may be able to go down the material detriment route as you would have to pay more to qualify
I do hope this helps.
Not happy have two phones on orange luckily one is out of contract and will be going onto O2 just out of spite due to there appalling behaviour we moved to orange due to 9yrs with T-mobile and they pulled a similar stunt in 2006 so 6yrs with orange and will be leaving again. There loss not mine0
