Hi all,
Like many others on this thread I have received the letter from Orange and am currently contemplating my best course of action.
My main question is, if I was to switch line rental from BT to Orange, what will happen when I choose not to renew my mobile contract in January? Would I again be looking at losing my broadband? And if so, how much would it cost on top of my line rental to retain it?0 -
I wonder how many people on here will really do anything about it and if we hear what outcome they obtained.
Yes Neil, I will post the outcome of events, good or bad, as and when.
By the way, I read the guardian article when I researched the history of the BB debacle, there is a lot more out there too; I wanted to be armed with relevant information in order to proceed with my complaint.
They clearly used the mobile division of Orange in order retain a huge wandadoo customer base (this is also documented) and by doing so retained a 'captive' audience whilst sorting their problems.
There are 'ways' of conducting business, preferably, upfront and honest, clearly explain, honour current contracts, bite the bullet whilst contracts are fullfilled; I think they would have retained most of their customer base, instead of alienating them.0 -

Cheers Eva,
will you do me a favor and see if your second line is actually still active? if you don't use it Orange cuts it off and now won't make it active.
There is a very very good reason why I'm asking, sorry if you have to unplug phones/routers.0 -

So if your mobile is PAYG you lose and if it is Monthly contract and less than £25 you will not qualify so may be able to go down the material detriment route as you would have to pay more to qualify
I do hope this helps.
That's only if you have to take out a new mobile contract to qualify, not if you are an existing Orange Mobile customer.0 -
