Orange 'Free' Broadband

I have gone over to BT Infinity,I dont care if it is more expensive than Orange because on a point of principle I would not stay with Orange. They gave me my MAC code when I phoned the exec number. The only thing I want from them is the PAC code so I can go to another mobile phone company. They will not co-operate ,even though they promised free BB when I renewed this years mobile contract. How do we get them to release all the customers sold free BB on the renewal of mobile contracts?0

You get your PAC, and when the final mobile bill is issued you contest it in a small claims court on the grounds your free bb was discontinued and tied to your mobile contract.
*SIMPLES*SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -
http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/market-data-research/market-data/communications-market-reports/cm06/overview06/year/ ... basically the same link but with Ofcom address rather than an IP address.Orange responded to CPW’s price drop in May 2006, offering ‘free broadband’ to customers who also took out an 18-month mobile contract at £30 per month or more.0 -
Thanks Diamonds, that is what I will do0

I have had 3 phones all on separate contracts for 10 years or so now and on renewing all of the contracts they have been on the basis of free broadband ( even though i only use one ) .
My reward for this loyalty is they are cutting off my broadband half way through the contract i take broadband off .
There are only so many calls i can make trying to get a honorable reply before calling them liars , con men etc .
To me it is not about the money but in the blatant way they are treating my loyalty in a such a dishonest manner !
After my 6Th call trying to get any form of honest resolution i told them where they can stuff their offer which is worse than offers for NEW customers !!!!!!
I have now taken out a 12 month contract with talk talk
Unlimited broadband .. £3.25 for 9 months - £6.50 for 3 months .
Line rental £9.50 p/m if paid up front .
Anytime calls £5 p/m
Making it £18 .56 p/m
The fantastic offer for the same package from orange was £23.50 ...... gee thanks orange !!
The best is that i did it through Quidco which pays £70 taking my new Talk talk package to £12.72 p/m .
I will now phone Orange and reduce all of the plans down to the minimum tariff for the remainder of the 3 contracts and god help the orange rep who calls me up to get me to renew the first one because he/she will not know what hit them !0 -
Hi guys, similiar situation to those in the past 80 pages but just needed clarification. 1. We've been offered £13.50 for 12 months, unlimited internet. But is it true that if we took up this offer, at some point, we'd have to upgrade to a home phone package aswell? A Sky colleague told me about this and said it'd be compulsory? 2. I'm currently talking to Sky, they've offered £27 with line rental, and unlimited internet. We're currently with BT atm and have been for ages, don't really want to leave but may have to if Orange force a line rental package on us. Anyone else considering Sky?0
-
The £13.50 quoted is for line rental not the charge for broadband .
You must transfer your line rental to Orange @ £13.50 p/m to get free broadband .
So if it is being sold on the same basis as free broadband with our mobile contracts what stops orange going back on the free broadband once you sign up for line rental ?0 -
I don't think they do Simply Broadband any more. I phoned up when i got "the letter" and asked for a "broadband only" price but was told that there was no plan available without line rental. My boss pays my line rental and calls directly to BT but not broadband.
Hoping they decide to re-instate free broadband until the end of mobile contracts as I didn't specifically ask about continuation of free broadband any time i've uprgraded, although I have deliberately kept my contract over £30.
