Would you believe it!
All I am going to reply to this is to say....WHAT!! without penalty??? They are going to cut us off as far as I was aware:-):rotfl:0 -
Should really state "without penalty or compensation"0

I called Orange and explained that the offer of free home broadband was given with my mobile contract - THEY DONT CARE!
I've been with Orange for 15 years+, THEY DONT CARE!
So.......deadline is looming for broadband cut off, so I started looking around and this is what I found.
TalkTalk line rental £9.50pm (Orange £11.50pm) TalkTalk unlimited broadband £3.25pm and that includes free evening and weekend calls, 3 months 1000 min pm to any mobile, free router (Orange don't provide anything other than line rental for £11.50).
So for an extra £1.25pm more than Orange, I get loads more. In addition, TalkTalk is only a 12 month contract (Orange 18 Month).
My Orange mobile contract is up in 12 months - They can kiss MA for my continued business. I want nothing more to do with Orange, even if they are cheaper!0 -
The deal that orange offered me for phone line etc was this, in order to keep the free broadband.
£11.50/month for 3 months rising to £14/month (just line rental)-18m contract.
£18.50/month for free off-peak calls/weekend calls.
£25/month for 24/7 free calls and 500 free mins to mobiles.
I just had a quick look and I am sure (my calculations may be wrong:-)), but this is more than I would pay BT, so the broadband is not technically free when compared to BT.
Edit: Just looked at my BT bill (should do this more often) and paying £14.60/month for line rental and for evening and weekend free calls.Cheeky fkers orange, free broadband staying my a***. :-)0 -
TT line rental at £9.50 only applies if you pay £114 up front (Value Line Rental) for the year.0

If you've got the £114.00 in the bank, I think it is better spent paying the upfront with TalkTalk or BT as over the year it'll earn £3.50/£5.00 in interest.
Paying up front means you'll have £30+ quid in the bank at the end of 12 months.
Hope that makes sense.0 -

Completely.
I was just (badly) pointing out that £9.50 per month line rental is only an equivalent value - the real payment is £114 upfront. (Just in case anyone was thinking they could get TT line rental for £9.50 per month WITHOUT paying upfront).0 -

We contact BT/current provider and arrange to transfer the service over, it would be a seamless transition, One moment you would be with the current, and the next would be via Orange. This process can take around 15days or so.
Your line would still be maintained by BT Openreach (engineers like now), all you would do is contact Orange and we contact Openreach on your behalf. This would be a free phone call to the 08448738586 contact number.
A further advantage of going with Orange is that Orange have a promise that you can look for further special deals, if you have 3months or less remaining.
Once we also get access to the fibre optic network possibly sometime in your area within this year then you would be entitled to re-grade onto that service should you wish. Prices are currently unknown
If you have any questions or wish to accept and go ahead, please feel free to ask/email and I will get back to you and/or ring you. Details below.
I also received the 30 day notice email yesterday, I was in contract until next June officially.
I'm actually on BT basic £4.80 per month (long story) so my total bill was exactly £15 per month. I was told it was an offer to get people to move away from their 2nd lines and no doubt give their LR to Orange.
Found out I should never have been offered the package as I only paid £9.99 a month.0 -
I have an ofcom verbal complaint done weeks ago and now sitting with the orange exec office. At present getting nowhere with them re mis-selling.
ofcom advise you to log an email via orange website and when you do you get a response from orange saying they cannot deal with it at present (same for the past 6 weeks!). and to call in!
Even ofcom now have a 404 error when you try to email them a a further complaint via mis selling broadband and mobile links.
orange, ofcom and CISAS are all passing the buck and no one is interested in us consumers.0 -
I believe the "from £5 off" is already the reduced rate for Orange Customers. They have probably either decided or been required to change it for it being so miss-leading.
So the regular price for none Orange customer was £10.0
