Trying for a Baby Part 8

That's why I asked for the hammer
But I don't thinks there's anything wrong with having optimism, doesn't change anything and it makes me happy to think that after eighteen months I may get pregnant again after my miscarriage, so if it makes me happy now then I'm going to carry on thinking itif by summer I'm not pregnant then oh well, I'll have tried something and be moving on to the next stage, which will probably be iui as my tubes are fine and DH is too x

hello all! hugs to all, not just those in need
congrats nic on the bfp!
TL - i love your optimism, never lose itPMA all the way xx
day 10 in the TTC cycle (big brother announcer style voice) nothing is happening. Mr A has twisted his ankle, and is acting like a man with a broken leg. Mrs A is unimpressed.
good news though, we should be moving into our house soonyay, lots of work needing done, but itll be ours
think i might drag hubby out for dinner to celebrate
lots of love and PMA to you all xx

Clomid does increase the chances-'normal' couples have 25% each cycle, with Clomid it's 34% due to the increase in quality and quantity of eggs released. plus being monitored would mean you'd be able to know when follicles are ready to burst, the best way of detecting ovulation
The three cycle thing has actually comforted me, in that if it doesn't work I can move quickly on to the next thing but also the stupid optimist in me thinks 'well if I get Clomid in March I could reasonably expect to be pregnant by summer'
Does someone have a hammer to whack me with? Lol x x
Big hugs jovie, hope you and DH have a lovely trip x x
So what about if you just don't ever get in that 34% but because of luck not because it didn't make you ovulate well? How would you even know? I guess you wouldn't? Do the drs just kind of figure after 6 cycles chances are you will?
God the entire thing depresses me that it's so hard to get pregnant.
But I guess at least you know your chances on clomid are better than if you weren't on it.0 -
Hi Ladies

I think it depends on your doctor and how you're reacting to it, but you might need your dose changing, from but from what y've been told by others who have had fertility treatment the next step is IUI, which usually involves ovulation induction too xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

Claire - I guess you can tell if you are in the 66% that didn't because they can test to see if you ovulate, so if you ovulate but don't get pregnant I think that's where the luck element comes in. Of course, a few of those 66% will have other problems that prevent the egg implanting, or early miscarriage or whatever, but at least you can rule ovulation out if the clomid makes you ovulate.
Personally i'm hoping that if I can lose my excess weight before the clomid runs out I won't need any more clomid. Then again i'm not sure I needed it in the first place as my doctor put me on it after only one cycle of TTC.
My step mum went to see a fortune teller who said there'd be news of a new baby in the family in spring. Now my older two brothers don't want any more and my younger brother is single and has been for years. There's an outside chance that one of those could find themselves a father by accident, but I'd like to think that that spring pregnancy announcement will be mine -and it's not spring yet -so let's hope that it is my baby on it's way!0 -

Deary me becca, I thought I had reason to feel sorry for myself but you have it the worst
Hope ovulation is soon for you, or those nice doctors sort you out with A Plan. The ladies on the twelve month thread will tell you I love people having their Plan, I think it makes everything more bearable xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6
