If he is you'll be facing tough competition from me!People would be asking questions when the baby arrived though as my OH is 5'9, pale and blonde! :rotfl: Maybe I should try for Eric instead and say that the baby has inherited the height from a throwback gene on my side! :rotfl:
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
I have to say, either would do for me. But only if Eric is being bad. Good Eric was boring!Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Aww I always hate it when people say that they just BD LOADS to get a BFP.... feels like that's never going to happen for us!
Isn't there a way of getting PG easily and quickly without having to do it twice a day?! :rotfl:
Welcome Retepetsir (that's a toughy to get right without triple checking!). Hope you're not too squeamish if you plan on sticking around!
Was just trying to work out if I could go on the Valentines testing/BD list but I don't think the timing is right for me so no dice. Not that I need it because currently I'm PUPO and AF is going to stay away, hear me lady?! *shakes fist*
Nope not squeamish at all, she's already been going in to details about it :rotfl:

However even if you have a regular cycle there is still no guarantee that you'll ovulate on day 14 cos everyone is different. I just didn't want to get hung up on tracking ovulation and timing bd the minute cos that could make me stress more! AF due next weds/ thurs so I'm nearly there.
But if you have a regular cycle your luteal phase is likely to always be the same as this doesnt change in the way ovulation does, so you can still work out when you are ovulating.
I.e if you have a 27 day cycle, you will likely ovulate 14 days before then - so cd 13. But it will depend on the length of your luteal phase. If your luteal phase is only 10 days then it wont be til cd17 etc.
If you have a regular cycle of 35 days its likely to be cd 21. Again depending on your luteal phase.0 -

But the only way to find this out is to chart, or use OPK's etc.
Or she could be one of the unlucky women who's LP changes quite significantly every month...like me!

I couldn't agree with you more! I have a cycle between 25 and 29 days (average 28), and always thought I ov'd on cd14. Turns out I'm ov'ing on cd15 or cd16 typically!
They need to stop teaching the rubbish about a perfect 28 day cycle in schools!
Plus they need to teach that its only cd14 because that is 14 days before AF comes in their textbooks which happens to be half of 28 - and NOT 14 days after AF. They teach it all back to front so if you have a shock horror  cycle thats not 28 days, you know cd14 is probably irrelevant.0 -

Oh yeah if you want to know it exactly, but you could use it as guide. I think if you have a regular cycle you dont need to really track anything as you could just count back 10-16 days and know its likely to be within those 6 days. And bd lots!
I wouldnt bother with opks etc if I had a regular cycle.
How are you getting on Lily?0 -

Managed it 3 times around ov last cycle which was a record for us but that was almost too much for DH and still didn't get pregnant. I need the ttc instructions for broken people married to panda husbands! Or maybe another husband for breeding purposes. Do you think Alcide from True Blood would be willing? :rotfl:
Welcome retepetsir (hope I got that right). We've had blokes in here before so you're very welcome.
Maybe you could keep him in the cupboard and bring him out when needed :rotfl:
3 times around ov should be enough - I dont mean as in - you should have got pregnant, I just mean I dont think you need to pressure yourself to do it more than that!
Its so frustrating though when you hear about so many people doing it once and they got pg. I just feel like that is a myth although I know its not!0 -

What a fantastic thread
I should probably say that I'm a guy (!) but my wife and I have started trying for our first. It's a bit more tricky for us as she is Type 1 Diabetic so has to be extremely careful with her blood sugar control.
Will definitely be keeping an eye on this
Hi!
I'm type 1 too! I'd recommend a diabetic pre conception clinic if you haven't already been. They help you get your hba1c within recommended levels and give advice for maintaining the tight control you need in pregnancy. They helped me get mine from 108 to 37! It's not easy but it's totally worth it!0
