Oh yeah if you want to know it exactly, but you could use it as guide. I think if you have a regular cycle you dont need to really track anything as you could just count back 10-16 days and know its likely to be within those 6 days. And bd lots!
I wouldnt bother with opks etc if I had a regular cycle.
How are you getting on Lily?
Mixed, thanks for asking. Clomid hasn't done anything to my cycle this month so i'm going back to see a new consultant in a couple of weeks.
PMA quite low at the moment but i'll not bore you with that. How are you feeling? Are you feeling positive about this month?14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
Hello there I am diabetic too so you are in good company! It can be really difficult to keep tight control in pregnancy but it's perfectly do able just a constant faff testing all the time, the bonus is you do get treated with kid gloves in the NHS which means lots of scans, help whenever you want it etc.
Hi All, I have good news and bad news. The good news is the clomid worked this month, my prog was 55 so doing it 7 days after ovulation and not on day 21 seems to have been worthwile.
The bad news is that I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative. Not only that, but I had the test upside down, so the control line was where the pregnancy line should be (if it was the right way up) and for a split second I actually thought it was the pregnancy line! D'oh!
So always make sure you hold your test the right way up!
I've asked my doctor for referral to FS now - he's going to see if I can jump the queue due to age (36) as we've been TTC around 6 months now.
Is anyone like me and think - all that pefectly timed BD and lying afterwards with legs in air etc is all such a waste when you get that negative test?
Well it's only day 26 of my cycle so I guess there's an outside chance it could be a late implanter, if I dont get AF in next few days I will test again, but I'm pretty sure I'm out for this month.0 -
I couldn't agree with you more! I have a cycle between 25 and 29 days (average 28), and always thought I ov'd on cd14. Turns out I'm ov'ing on cd15 or cd16 typically!
exactly, even luteal phases vary in length too. We've been trying to bd every other day this month to cover it. Can't imagine bding 3 times in one day, OMG. sending you all lots of PMA x0 -
I'm still not convinced that all the people who only did it once and got pregnant really just did it once, particularly when it was unintentional. I think a lot of people who are pretty careless with contraception say it was only once so they appear unlucky (actually very lucky) rather than stupid! Obviously it happens to some but I don't think its true for everyone!0

How many cycles worth do they give you? That's so frustrating. I hope the new consultant can help. Should the clomid work straight away or is it one of those things that can take a couple of cycles to work well?
Not feeling positive about being pregnant this month as we only did it once at the right time, but I'm feeling good about being in a happier job environment after the mc so I'm not dealing with not only not being pregnant anymore, but also not liking work.lemonmelon wrote: »I'm still not convinced that all the people who only did it once and got pregnant really just did it once, particularly when it was unintentional. I would agree. Although it did happen for my SIL who granted wasn't using contraception but it did only happen once- but was unplanned -she was a teenager though who all seem to be super fertile!
My other friend tried for 8 months bding all the time nothing happened, she got really fed up & said they hadn't done it for maybe 3-4 weeks cos of being annoyed and tired etc, did it once and then she got pregnant. She was so convinced she would never get pg she didn't realise until she was 8 weeks!!0 -

Hugs for the BFN, especially as it looked like a +ve!Hopefully it's a shy bean and will show up in a couple of days.
And YES I feel like that all the time!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
i always just think it's like...the egg and the sperm don't know whether it's the first time or the 324th time you've done the deed, nor do they know you're intention, they just kind of get on with doing their thing and to heck with the consequences! lol
i remember from the great sperm race they said that the sperm have to do an extra little thing, like shed a coating or something, at exactly the right time to be able to penetrate the egg. they do it too early, they die off, they do it too late then they can't get in there as she passes.
so it's all a lot more hit and miss with the timing than we think
and whilst a few people recently have said they got their bfp after lots of sex, in my vast experience of this board, there's just as many who say 'didn't think we was in with a chance this month, we only did it three days before Ov'Little Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

I found it has taken a while to work. The first month worked ok, the second month was really really weird with a period in the middle of my cycle for a week, plus a really short luteal phase - I reckon my body was just a bit weirded out by the clomid. Luckily this month I have had a good response to the clomid but no baby unfortunately.
I have been given a six month supply of 50mg.
Good luck with it. If you don't respond at the lower dose they can increase the dosage.0 -

I wish I could tell whether the egg had been fertilised but just not implanted, or not fertilised at all.
I know I released an egg this month, and with 20million sperm in each ejaculation, seeing as we did it a few times before and around o-day you'd think that out of 80 million sperm at least ONE would have met the egg.0 -
Claire - Clomid should work straight away. I have a 3 month supply of 100mg. I know a lot of FS's don't bother with it after 3 months because the chances of success after that time are dramatically decreased. If it's going to work, it will do in the first few months after you take it.
Angii - Great news about your blood tests. Let's hope for better things next month.14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130
