Trying for a Baby Part 8

Hope you dont mind a lurker popping her head in, but read this and just had to reply. Your story is exactly the same as my mum's. Met at 39, married abd trying for kids but felt she'd missed the boat, and wanted to give up. Got pregnant with me at 34, had my sister at 36 and my brother at 40 (shocking at the time!). But my point is, DO NOT GIVE UP, if she had we wouldnt be here! Wishing you all the best of luck this month xx
thanks. That's really sweet.
Claire and tcd - I forbid you to complain about turning 30, if only because I'm an old bag :rotfl:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Turning 30 last spring killed me cos I thought I'd have a baby by then, never mind not even be a little bit pregnant, and this year I'm facing the 3rd birthday while ttc #1. Depressing"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0

I'm 32, and I didn't even start wanting a baby till I turned 31 (almost to the day).
Big temp drop for me this morning and AF cramps with a vengeance. Today or tomorrow will be CD1 so that's me out for this month. I've been trying to think up some PMA but am struggling.
I also found out that a close friend has just had IVF - she was implanted last Monday and will be testing this Friday. She has been trying a long time and of course I really hope it works for her (she's been pregnant before with a previous partner but lost both babies, but the problem now is her husband) but it's frightened me that it might eventually come to that for us, and also I just don't know how I will be able to cope around her if she's pregnant.
Sigh. Really wish I could go back to bed, I know by the time I get to work I'm going to start feeling absolutely wretched, sick, faint etc.0 -
Sorry about the PCOS diagnosis Becca
It's good that you can deal with it now though, and I'm sure you'll get your BFP soon!
Talking about 30ths... mine isn't for another couple of yearsbut OH is 30 in September and I think he'll take it quite badly if I'm not PG by then. In his head he was *always* going to be married by 28 and a Dad by 30. It never occurred to either of us that this might not happen!
Big hugs Trina, sounds like this 'friend' is talking out of her you-know-what and you need to avoid her!
Hope AF is staying away Lara! A while back some of the other ladies on here would complain about 'botty pain' so you're not alone! :rotfl:
Welcome BeNice!
Sending much love and postive vibes your way for the ICSI MrsHappy!
That was a really good article you linked to Code, sums it up perfectly.
Feeling a tiny bit fed-up right now; last week I posted that my OH had said that fate won't let us get PG until his friend is, she sent him a text on Saturday to tell him that she's 2 weeks PG. They only started TTC this month! On the one hand, if OH is right and fate is in charge then surely that means my BFP is on the horizon, but on the other, bitter and jealous hand, I'm gutted.
I'm just so sick of 1 shag wonders showing off about how easy it is! And why-oh-why did she feel the need to tell him that she's only 2 weeks PG?!
Oh and if I see one more 'Oh look, here's my baby in the snow isn't it adorable' picture on FB I'll explode - which I know is irrational because I'll do the same!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Morning all
I'm not going to work today, I really hate driving in the snow and the service I work for is bound to be closed.
big hugs Angeltreats, sending you some PMA
I always aimed to be pregnant by 30 too, thought I was the only one who thought that way until now!
I'm 32 and the last few years haven't turned out as planned in a pretty horrific way so I've only just got round to trying now. I think before I wasn't ready but now I am.
hope everyone feels more positive soon, I know I get lots of PMA from this thread.0 -
Operation BD every other day has been somewhat unsuccessful for me this month started off well but have not managed to bd since tuesday.
However, im almost positive I havnt ovulated yet, no ewcm, so may still be in with a chance if we manage to bd for the rest of the month (as long as I do actually ov!).
I like the sound of the transformer babies app, if only to amuse me when I get 29 updates a day about a persons kid - nobody cares if your child has just shat, spit out a banana, danced in front of the tv, had a nap, eaten toast for the first time etc etc etc.0 -
I feel really old now reading all the posts about people turning 30 /not wanting to turn 30. I must be positvely ancient at 36!
I read something really interesting last night in one of my many TTC books. It is written by an IVF doctor but has some interesting bits for anyone not just those going through IVF.
He said that excess weight is the second biggest factor affecting fertility (after maternal age) and the biggest thing you can do to help yourself if you're experiencing trouble getting pregnant and are overweight is lose weight. He has many experiences of women who thought they were infertile who got pregnant naturally once they got down to a normal weight.
I'm convinced that my extra 2 stones of poundage is what's affecting my ovulation. I was struggling with my diet but this has given me renewed motivation - I have simply got to get this weight off!
Had a good day yesterday, diet wise, but going away with work for two days today (= restaurant meals, drinks etc) so need to keep it up!0 -
I didn't lose anything last week. Had a horrible cold so couldn't work out and just ate ice cream and throat lozenges.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

Hi all,
Haven't been around for a while as my dad passed away and ttc was the last thing on my mind. Started my period on Friday which means that this cycle was 25 days this time. Fed up with my irregular periods, this month I used opk sticks, conceive plus and still can't get it right. With so much sadness in my family it would be so nice to be pregnant.
Congrats to those who got Bfps this month.MFW 2016 No 68 £1300/£8500 No new toiletries Cook sth different0
