Afternoon all,
Congrats to all the bfps, nice to see a few so far this month.
AF is just about gone again, wonder what this cycle will bring.
Becca - hugs for the test results, but it is good that now they know you will get the best help possible.
hugs to all those who are in need and double for tinks!
sorry I've not been very talkative lately, pma is at a bit of a low just now, I keep hearing my "friend" over and over in my head telling me that I never had a chemical/early miscarriage because 'i don't care what anyone says, you can get a positive pregnancy test before your period is due'. but then I know I should just ignore it because this is the same person who was told by a fertility doctor that you can get a positive test 2 days after ovulation and that you never get any pregnancy symptoms until you're at least 8 weeks! gah!
sorry I just had to get that out, it was driving me crazy
I feel a bit better actually having got that down....onwards to another month
Your friend sounds crazy. Wish she'd been at my house when I started puking at 6 weeks :rotfl:
Hmm 2 days after ovulation when you're not actually pregnant yet?
I hope your friend misheard the dr and they didn't actually say that!0 -
big hugs G3mmo
code, I think it's just a mysterious bloks thing. hope you get better soon
went to zumba tonight and was very tired and wheezing away. I must get fitter!0 -

thanx guys
i feel better having got it out, i think it was just building up more and more.
Claire - i wished she wasnt serious, i asked, are you sure he didnt say 2 weeks? or 2 days after AF is due, and was shot down, then shot down again when i tried to explain why that couldnt be true. I was told - i was told that by a doctor and i believe the doctor not anyone else.....
needless to say ive kinda been pleasant and made small talk because i have to, but nothing more than that since

I'll be 8/9 dpo going by last cycle but that doesn't mean much tbh- hopefully this one will be a shorter one with a lovely surprise at the end of it..... :j0 -
Yay for Operation Valentine!!
I'll probably be a few days off testing at that point but I'll stay on the list anyway.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

codemonkey wrote: »I think if DH's brother and his partner get pregnant before I do (which is likely as she's a good 10 years younger) I'll just give up. It is a good thing I didn't get pregnant when I was younger because I just wasnt ready. Having grown up in an area where the life dream amounted to: get a man, get a bairn, get a council hoose, and being determined that I wanted a stable life, an education, and career before anything else, I was totally paranoid about contraception. Laughably so now actually. Didn't realise I wouldn't actually meet anyone I wanted to father my children til I was 29, then we needed to buy a house and get married and now I find myself coming up on 33 and although I'm glad I waited for DH because he was worth the wait and will be an amazing dad, the age thing is worrying me. I can see 35 in big flashing numbers and peri menopause lurks around the corner.
Hope you dont mind a lurker popping her head in, but read this and just had to reply. Your story is exactly the same as my mum's. Met at 39, married abd trying for kids but felt she'd missed the boat, and wanted to give up. Got pregnant with me at 34, had my sister at 36 and my brother at 40 (shocking at the time!). But my point is, DO NOT GIVE UP, if she had we wouldnt be here! Wishing you all the best of luck this month xx0 -

Same here!
When I got pregnant I thought how cool me & DH will both be under 30 and we started trying when we were 27 so 30 seemed old back then :rotfl: but now there is no chance as DH is 30 in September.
My friend was saying to me today it makes you mad because you can plan your career, money, where you live to a certain extent & get everything ready to give a baby the most perfect possible home in a stable relationship but you can't control getting the end result.
Then you see someone in a bad situation who hasn't planned anything let alone the baby and they get one!!0
