Just seen a couple of posts I would like to write strongly worded replies to....but that isn't what this thread is about so I'll say no more about early scans.)

    Youre right its not :)

I saw something in a magazine which said that ivf patients following a low carb, high protein diet dramatically increased their chances of a successful pregnancy. I know most ladies on here not IVF but I figure the same principles may apply to natural pregnancies. Incidentally, I conceived my son after about two weeks of doing the atkins diet where my carb intake was practically zero.
I need to start practicing what I preach and go back on a low carb diet, I was on one before xmas but been pigging out the last month, so as of today I am back on the low carb diet - it can only help with conceiving particularly once the weight starts falling off.

    Gooood morning :hello:

    Welcome to the newbies.

Loulou - any news? Fingers crossed.

    MV - Super news :j:j:j

Lemon - with the scans then they obviously didn't pick up on the molar in either of them 2 scans? I am only asking because Sheffield said I would have an early scan next time to determine if it is another molar at around 7 weeks as this is the point where it is distinguishable between molar and not. I suppose they weren't really looking on you, and saw the heartbeat so were ok with it. But its a bit concerning that you were scanned twice and it wasn't picked up on. :o

Right then ladies - are those participating in the challenge all going for exercise this week then? Trainers and sports bras all dusted off are they?? It starts tomorrow :j:j:j I am going to zumba class on tuesday :eek: First one in erm, well erm, I did do 1 class about 6 months ago. And then it was actually about 6 months before that one that I did my last one. I don't think I will wear my zumba top, headband and take me zumba towel with me as my current fitness levels will make me look a little silly with all my gear :o:o I am also going to dust off a dvd, and maybe go swimming too. This is my plans. What are your plans? Would be nice to report any weight losses, inch losses and also achievements to each other in a weeks time :T:T:T

The last time I attempted a low carb diet it made my breath so stinky that OH wouldn't come anywhere near me, even after mouthwash. It did make me lose 8lbs in a week but since I'm trying to get pregnant and need OH to have sex with me, better not do that.

So, gym is happening a bare minimum of 3 times a week. Will do couch 2 5k again because the running is really good at getting the weight off so as long as the shin splints stay away I'll do that. Also back to zumba next week. I've kind of got used to lazing on the couch so it's going to be a shock. Also going to attempt the No S diet. So without lots of yummy food, tomorrow is going to be rubbish.

For the moment, I can't bring myself to get on the scales, so will be looking at weight loss in terms of how my clothes fit. I lose weight super slowly so jumping on the scales would send me straight to the goody cupboard.

  • Good morning,

I'm really really sorry if I offended or upset anyone with my post last night - its something I feel strongly about but this was probably not the right place to post it. I'm just a bit cynical from bad experiences but in 99.9999% of cases this doesn't happen. Apologies.

Abis - I'm still in, I even got up early and went for a run this morning but I'm balancing it out by making snickerdoodles to take to a friend's this afternoon :)

Code that sounds like a good plan - measuring by how you feel in yourself and how your clothes fit. I wont even let us have scales in the house because I'd just want to check all the time.

Well done vic and apple-pie too :-)

    Morning ladies! And gent!

Just a quick question, my cycle seems to be very regular which im guessing is a good thing! Last cycle was the first month I temped and i got a little dip from CD14-CD15 and then a big increase from CD15-16. Does that mean I ovd on CD15? Figured id just go off that and BD around then again this month, not ready to start using OPKs just yet.

    Thanks!

If you have regular cycles you don't really need to use them anyway especially if youre temping. I only use them because otherwise I'd have no idea when I'd be ovulating or getting AF

Plenty of ways around that one if you know what I mean! Who said it needs to be face to face?

I'd rather be slim and sexy and fertile with stinky breath than fat with normal breath but each to their own I'm aware not all methods work for everyone.

I just thought I'd share the research I read about.

Lemon why would your post offend anyone? I think it's much better to be aware of things than being shocked if the worst happens because you didn't even know they could.

My fingers are crossed for you for 2013!!! Xxx
